Drs. Fine, Hoffman & Sims, Eugene OR

I had a visit to this office about four months ago. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The technicians were thorough and Dr. Sims was amazing. She is very personable and answered all of my questions perfectly.

I just moved to the Florence a little over a year ago. I thought it might be more convenient to have an Opthamologist close to where I live. It's a bit of a drive to Eugene for short appointments. I knew no one locally for medical referrals. The technician was great. Very personable, answered questions, efficient and knowledgeable, so she gets all 3 of the stars but deserves more.

Dr. Hoffman probably said less than 10 words to me the whole time, even when I tried to ask a question or two. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt and he seemed bored or distracted. But I didn't feel any connection, nor obviously did he to me.

Hey, I am a person sitting in front of you. I felt more like a "number" to count down on his schedule. Maybe he just had a bad day or maybe he is man of very few words. His pictures show him smiling broadly. I didn't even recognize him from the photo.

So very disappointment to hear about the poor customer service from staff and billing staff. It absolutely deterred me from scheduling appointment for possible Cataract Surgery.
My friend was manipulated into scheduling an appointment before it was required and now has a huge bill because it was performed 6 weeks too early. She was told that they see too many patients to worry about an individuals insurance requirements.

Very friendly staff. Dr. Sims came in my room, didn't say HELLO. I mentioned I was there due to my double vision. Dr. Sims told me to continue to use the meds for my generative. And that my eye sight had not changed since the last visit. I have not been in for years, to my remembrance. I asked about my double vision and was told the prescription would take care of it.i asked how bad it was. Again was handed and told the prescription would fix the problem. Dr. Sims got up and walked out. I called the office and explained my concern, and asked someone to call me to explain my complaint. No one has called.

It’s a very professional and patient friendly clinic, always the same on each visit to see Dr. Sims and her associates. Another safe haven in these trying times. I sure do appreciate it. Thank you.

We went to Fine Hoffman and Sims because we had seen their TV commercials portraying them as the leading ophthalmologists. Unfortunately, our experience has not been good. Dr. Hoffman was very arrogant and cold. He walked in, plainly introduced himself, examined me, very impatiently answered or dismissed my questions, then he was out of the room. The front desk staff members also appear incompetent. They always seemed so busy. The wait time was very long before and after checking in. Whoever helped me check in got my insurance wrong. I had to call later to correct it. When we received their bills, I had to call four times to pay the bill. Because every time I called, they would put me on hold - first time, they hang me up; second time and third times they put me on hold forever - over 10 minutes and I hang up. Fourth time I finally told them I just want to pay the bills. They seem so ancient that you can only mail the payment or call them to pay.

Dr. Sims and her staff are very helpful and friendly. I came to them last year after my previous eye doctor stopped conducting contact lens exams and I wish I had made the change sooner. They caught errors that my previous doctor had missed and were very knowledgeable and efficient. When I moved, they ensured that my contacts were shipped to me in just a few days. I definitely recommend seeing them!

Dr Sims is wonderful! She is caring and proactive with treatment. Easy to talk to and listens! She has helped me where another Dr failed to take action. She is a great surgeon and straight forward The staff are wonderful as well, very caring and comforting about my concerns. Makes for a great experience.

Dr. Fine is fantastic! He exudes professionalism, kindness and a wealth of knowledge in his field. His team of professionals are terrific too give them a call for your visual needs.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Annette Sims for her high professional and excellent medical care.
Moreover, every day, a whole year after my visit, I thank assistant Ashley Martz, who is competent, knowledgeable, and devoted professional to the client’s well-being too. Ashley Martz provided me with accurate glasses measurements under the Dr. Sims prescription (that could not be done for me before by four optometrists from the other offices of optometry). My appreciation and thanks to the all personal of the Ophthalmology Office for the service.

Excellent, prompt, and friendly care and services delivered by an obviously dedicated team of professionals and support staff. Dr. Sims and her assistants are wonderful. (Oh, and just by the way, with her skillful and painless surgical intervention, she arrested the further deterioration of the sight in one of my eyes.)

Coordination and communication between Sims, Hoffman and Karth is efficient and inspires confidence.

I've seen Dr Hoffman for several years. He and his entire staff has been friendly, punctual, helpful and thorough every time. They also send several reminders ahead of the appt. Thanks!

I have had only one appointment with Dr. Sims but felt very comfortable with her. Friendly, very clear in what she was explaining to me. And really look forward to seeing her in three months. Also her entire staff were just outstanding.

Not even a greeting, Mis read my chart, was frustrated at me for that. Think someone is ready to retire? ! Very impersonal and I will never go back. I used to see Dr Packer, and he was great!

Dr Sims is great. Unlike Dr Fine and other physicians she runs on schedule, is very personable and attentive and provides top notch care. Highly recommend her.

Verified insurance, they wouldn't make apt until I did. Waited a month for apt.day. Drove 190 miles to get there, they refused to see me because "they had not verified insurance" that was in place and verified. They obviously are concerned about nothing but $ before patients. And seems the insurance office can't do thier job. Bad patient care policies!
