Eastwind Drive-In, Cascade Locks OR

Love love love this place and we try to always make a stop there on the way home from Hood river! This place opened in the 40's and has been serving up the best ice cream and burgers since without much of a change.

This place is known for their ice cream in the summer months but if you want one of the BEST OLD-FASHIONED BURGERS then you've come to the right place! They also carry a few other yummy treats like fried shrooms, tots, onion rings, floats and Sundays that will knock your socks off! The line at this Lil gem of a drive thru can be a bit long especially in the warmer months but it's definatly worth the wait! So if you're in Cascade locks driving thru or just wanna great burger to go with your ice cream this is a must on your list of stops! Warning the restaurant closed early so show up before the sun goes down in this lil gem of a town.

Food is decent and it’s in a beautiful area, but the orders are never correct and they refuse to correct it or provide a refund.

Staff was friendly but didn't mention that fries are separate. At any rate they are bland and not all that good; just plain frozen fries. The burgers were disappointing for the price too; tiny frozen patties about 1/4" thick. The burger was mostly bun, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Will not visit again and would not recommend!

Small drive up diner type place, but great service and great food. Ice cream cones are giant. The fries are fantastic and huge. Menu and prices are easy to see. Will definitely stop there again

The large ice cream cone is actually a large ice cream cone. Don't understand? Just order one you'll quickly learn. Great old school style food. I got mine to go.

This place has been here since I was a kid when i was younger i would always go fishing at cascade locks with my friend and his mom would get us lunch here or an ice cream cone and my daughter lives to get ice cream cones here also they have a great selection of flavors I'm sure this place is a tradition for many people when they visit Cascade Locks

Awesome little burger shack. Just like the good ole days. Perfectly cooked and hot delicious yummy. The burger wasn't skimpy lots of Bacon and cheese. Tomatoes were fresh lettuce crispy. I wondered where the good ole shacks went. Definitely found one here.

Not smart…poor management…bad decision maker.
I haven’t even gotten to the food yet. You have closed your lobby and have drive thru only…sign says it is to keep from spreading COVID…COVID has spread already, catch up!
Oh yeah, all employees inside were not wearing masks…ok.
If you want more business, 1.answer your phone 2. Send someone out to take orders from people waiting in line.
3.open your order window and you would sell more ice cream.
Business sense vs common sense vs understanding how to please your customers…it is missing.
Food might be good but 1 star due to poor management.

This is a charming little hamburger joint the prices seem a little high but not to a very noticeable degree, I paid about 13.50
For a double cheese burger and a milkshake. The burger was definitely better than most fast food places.

Absolutely delicious they have VERY good Italian cream sodas (I reccomend the mango:) ) worth the stop if you are passing through

This place is amazing! They had the best breakfast burritos and ice cream around! I stop in almost every morning for breakfast burrito and they are always so friendly and loving to me and my dogs! Makes for a nice morning wakeup! Thank you guys!

Love the milkshakes and ice cream cones. Ordered did this time and it was really good. You must stop by and try it.

A friend of mine and I, had delicious ice cream there. The ice cream is packed down to bottom of cone. Money's, worth. Yes in deed.

Good food and ice cream! Food wasn’t the greatest, but it was still very good. Ice cream is next level though.

A solid burger stop in a charming village off of Highway 84. I recommend Eastwind Drive-In for anyone looking for a classic burger, fries, and shake. Pretty quick despite being very busy, and decently priced.

Sides were decent. We had fries and tots. Fries are very similar to McDonald's. Make sure to ask for fry sauce, it's extra and they don't really offer it.

Excellent shakes. Thick and creamy, and doesn't use too much flavoring. My 3 year old and I enjoyed them immensely!

Pretty solid corn dogs. Fried well.

The burgers were quality, with pretty good veggies, standard beef patty with melted American cheese. Good onions. But where Eastwind shines is their bacon! Thick bacon cooked just past the point of chewy without going over into crispy. Heaped on with a few huge slices, the bacon was the stand out star of the Eastwind Drive-In.

We had been eying Cascade Locks and Eastwind Drive-In for a while, passing the town on 84 several times. I'm very glad we made the stop and knocked Cascade Locks off of #thegreatoregonburgerbucketlist. The town is charming and beautiful. Definitely worth a quick detour the next time you're going by on 84.

Had the BLT was really good my dad used to take me there to always get a cone they're taller than you whatever imagine the large belly fits out the window take time to stop at this place you won't regret it
