El Sancho Taco Shop West reviews
16Green light red light, I’ve wanted to check this place out because when I drive by it looks popular. However I felt like I was back in Olympia at some dirty hipster cafe. My tacos tasted funny not in a good way either, service was nice but did not add up to the off tasting meat. Carne Asada to be exact tasted old or freezer burnt. Wanted to like ya all but I’ll keep driving by.
I wasn’t going to leave a review because if you can’t say anything nice… well, the chips were good. I woke up this morning with a sad stomach after tiny veggie tacos (mushroom taco and potato taco) that had flat, bland bits in it that I couldn’t identify by taste. The taco shell was greasy and limp. The rice and beans were literally cold. This is actually the third time I had been at this location. One time the carnitas tacos were good. Filled with tasty ingredients. The second time soggy, very little filling. Not favorful. Think I would learn. Going back for these veggie tacos, the honest truth I would rather have lost my cash on my way there than spent it on this food. Up your game, Mr. Sancho! You can only float along so long on hype and a swell cartoon logo. Ok, logo is good, chips were tasty, beer as expected. There, I did say something nice.
Not only is this one of the most reasonably priced ways to eat out in Bend, it’s delicious, high-quality food. There is outdoor seating in an enclosed area with heaters, but it doesn’t get very warm on a cold evening. There is some indoor seating as well. They have lots of alcoholic beverages too, but I’ve never partaken. As a vegetarian, I always get the potato tacos and the veggie tacos. They have a vegetarian mushroom one too, but I don’t like mushrooms.
Glorified food cart vibes with $4.50 street tacos. 29 degrees outside but nan one outdoor heater is on and 75% of the seating is outdoor. Not exactly an inviting atmosphere on a Friday 12/1. No water in the ol’ self service watering whole. Ordered chicken tortilla soup that is actually closer to pazole minus all the other ingredients that make it pazole… tortilla soup that consists of broth and chicken.there’s no reason to come back or spread good word about this spot.
This is a must on your list of places to go for tasty tacos and margaritas! Casual, fun, great service and excellent food. ️
This place has super yummy fusion style tacos, great margaritas and a great atmosphere. The line is worth it!
I have ordered from and sat to eat here countless times, and generally have been very happy. There have maybe been one or two times that the tacos seemed off, but still good.
Went out with a group of friends. The Sancho Bowl was well portioned and had all the mixings, but the flavor was generic. I think I could heat up the same ingredients from canned food and equal its flavor. Staff was friendly, but I felt the same when I walked into a fast food establishment. I'll give another try with a different food choice.
Back in Seattle visiting family from Bend and the Mexican ladies waiting on us at the burger place here LOVE your merchandise.they brought the entire kitchen crew out to see. I gotta go buy more
Fun vibe, great music and a very friendly staff. Had a wonderful twist on a poloma cocktail and tacos were delicious. Will be back.
Listen to me when I tell you this place is good as f-
Someone from a local brewery recommended it and wow. They called it a "staple of bend. " No joke it's so good. This is the best food I've had in the northwest, and the barbacoa taco was the best taco I've ever had. The guac and chips was in fact worth the $5 up charge for guac. I've never liked plantains and these were the best I've had ever. I mean seriously the 3 people in my group joked around about flying out here just to get this again. 10/10. Service was quick and recommendations from the front desk was very very good. Atmosphere is super cool (we sat outside, no idea if they have indoor seating)
Mango margarita was BOMB with tajin rim. The "hot mess" on their specials list was incredible. I can't stress how good this place was. Phone did not eat first and maybe it should have
Holy yummy deliciousness. I am a taco snob having spent quite a bit of time in Mexico. I am yet to eat real authentic Mexican food in the United States. Though this was not authentic it was super delicious and just as flavorful and the tacos were perfect in size (similar to authentic tacos). Ambience was fun and relaxed. Would recommend!
What a cool little spot. We came on a Monday evenin and were surprised at how busy it was.until our food came! The tacos are absolutely delicious - they don't skimp on the proteins or toppings. We also found the queso to be unique but also fantastic. (So, of course this place was busy!) Prices are pretty comparable to other taco places. We got a mix of the Mahi Mah, shrimp, Carne asada, and barbacoa. All were great - good service too.
El Sancho is a Bend must. Fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere. The fried plantains are insanely tasty.
Great vegan tacos and very friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much I can back the next day. I’m picky when it comes to Tacos and the flavors were amazing. Mushroom tacos were delicious. They come with onion and cilantro, but opted out since I don’t like cilantro.
It's not the four seasons but what a great place, get in line staff finds you a seat. The tacos salsa and cocktail are wonderful. El Sancho has a great casual vibe.
The cashier had an attitude towards me and my boyfriend, When we got our order the three tacos were cold and greasy and I asked for some more salsa so they charge me extra for salsa. Never going back the food was awful.
