El Toreo Mexican Restaurant reviews
20We Love El Toreo! Great Staff and Great Food! Check it out the next time you are in Burns / Hines!
Drove out of our way in a trip to eat here. Said open on website and on front door. Wasn't open. Doors locked. Waste of time.
The food was bland and overpriced. The salsa was the only decent thing we ate. I'm shocked the overall rating was 4 stars, but I guess that is what you get in a small town with limited options.
Service was terrible. With passive aggressive comments from the woman who seated us and a huff when we asked for salsa we never received.
I was greeted quickly, and with a smile. The place was clean and kept. The food came out in a timely fashion and was hot and seasoned appropriately. Keep it up.
Horrible service. It took almost one hour to get my pork fajitas. Pork fajitas ended up being half chicken also. Ordered six flour tortillas with my meal. Was charged $4.50 for the extra tortillas. I saw the waitress when I ordered, then again almost an hour later when she served me my food. Had to stand at the counter to pay for another 10 minutes to pay. Just for the fajitas and tortillas, it cost me $27.00. I think they also charged extra for the salsa for my fajitas. Was overcharged for what I got.
They will charge you extra and not even let you know until the bill is ready. They tried charging my family 150 is tips.total being 350$ for a meal for a maximum of 6 people. Complete rip off. Plus they treat you poorly with attitude when you have children.
Excellent Mexican food (we come from the Mexican border and are picky!), very nice owners and a very nice interior.
Solid, dependable American Mexican food, with all the standards (tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, tamales, burritos). The picadillo enchiladas were very good, and several people in our group raved about the vegetarian burrito.
It was on the warm side and I had to ask for a ceiling fan to be turned on. Only 3 people working and it was busy but they did well and the food was really yummy! I only got 2 flour tortillas with my fajitas so that was a bummer…. I expected 3 at least. But all in all it was great!
Was a little disappointed in the steak picado. The sauce was lacking in flavor. Was more like a bit of a runny gravy.i was really hoping it would have been a richer spicer dish.
Maybe it was a bit of an off night, restaurant was quite busy with locals, for later in the evening on a wednesday. So i must have missed something.
Great ambiance when coming in quite a nice music choice as it allows for easy conversation without having the music take over the room. The customer service was excellent and the food was delicious!
If your looking for a great Mexican dinner this is it awesome food friendly service good atmosphere my favorite is the steak fajita burrito
They charge extra for using a debit card and for extra tortillas as only got 2 of them for free for a fajita dinner any additional 2 cost you extra ridiculous will not be eating here again
Place was nice and staff was good, but I felt like we were on the back burner, we didn't get water's to the table, and we ordered vegan as we are on a special diet. My burrito was served lukewarm, 2 adults 3 children $140. And left almost full. I felt ripped off for the money I spent. I still left a tip, you're welcome
Burned chips, which was a bummer. But I still give them 4 out of 5 for friendly service and our delicious burritos.
Took a long time for our order to get taken, another long wait for our food, which was barely warm. And to top it off, our waitress was put out that we wanted to split the bill, but did, and then she obviously didn’t pay any attention and charged everything on one card, and nothing on the other.
Great chips and beans and the fajitas were great and lots of peppers and onions. It was a little warm in the restaurant but besides that Great food and service
We went there for lunch, the food was great, good presentation and delicious as well, unfortunately they don’t have any Mexican salsa (bring your own) lol, the waiter could been a little more friendly.
Very nice restaurant. Service was very good and food was above your average Mexican restaurant. Will go back again.
Carnitas beef definitely deserve to order, great flavor and the plate is large enough! Only $18 can have those kind of meal is worth to have.
