There is a reason I drive 4+ hrs to fish with Eric Swanson, he is AMAZING!

Eric was awesome at communicating with be about the lower Columbia river closure this year. He called me the second he knew about the closure and told me his plan to fish further up river. He didn’t just call me to tell me that I was SOL because the river closed, he had a plan to get my group on the fish regardless if it meant him having to drive and extra 90 min each way.
Luckily for us, 2 days before we were supposed to fish the lower Columbia was opened again. Once again Eric was quick to communicate this with us to make sure we knew the plan.

His communication was great the night before we were set to fish and the morning of. He made sure I knew when and where I was going, exactly where his boat was and the code to get through he gate.

Eric is an amazing teacher and is very patient with everyone on his boat. He is a great guy to have a conversation with while waiting for the fish to bite. With all the people Eric deals with every day he remembered so much about us from the first time we fished with him. He actually cared to get to know us which was great.

On top of everything mentioned above, Eric always gets us in the fish! We caught so many fish, it was crazy. Kings, coho and steelhead all in one trip. Some had to be thrown back but we all left with a lot of amazing fish.

I will continue to fish with Eric Swanson for a long time, he is a great guy and a great guide. If he wasn’t, I wouldn’t drive so far to fish with him.

He is the "MIRACLE"! He would not give up and even somehow managed to pull a 16-18 pound Chinook out of a harbor seals mouth. I never would have believed it was possible until I seen it with my own eyes.

What a great day of fishing we had! Eric is knowledgeable, fun, and easy to get along with! We all caught several sturgeon and really enjoyed our time with him. We would go out with him anytime.

Wow what a true gentleman! My pump bearing went out on my fishing trip but anyways i was walking to the docks to do some sturgeon fishing as i met Eric Swanson. I told him what happen to my boat and he invited my wife and i out onto his boat since his crew canceled. What can i say, I WAS THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD! Eric your knowledge and passion for fishing is number 1 in my book! Going fishing with a guide that put my wife on her first springer, it made me happy watching her catch it and she did it well Eric said. Cant wait to book a trip for walleye next year! Just to let you know whoever is reading this, i love to fish and i have my own 22 ft sled but fishing with Eric learning new techniques and having a great time is well worth it. If you want to have a great time book a trip with Eric Swanson

Wow! Great experience! Unexpected guided trip! Success! My First Springer Salmon on the Multnomah Channel with Eric! I have been a fisher woman for 3 years. New to all this! Loving it! My husband has over 35 years experience in fishing. We have a nice boat but for some reason.our week long venture to try new waterways was intensified by a jet pump seizing on our big motor! Long story short.we encountered Eric at the Dock and he invited us to fish with him. We were blessed with rain and cold but.all in all.a success. Eric was kind, generous and knowledgeable about technique, gear, and the River! He was engaging and encouraging. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate some POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT when I am keeping that line tight and praying to get the fish IN THE BOAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH ERIC! It was a memory I will have the Rest of my Life! I will tell the story til I die. Much Love! Keep reeling!

Oh and to the haters: not everyone will have an experience like mine. But.constructive critism is good if it’s given in a positive way. These guides are doing this for the LOVE and to make a living. EVERYONE HAS BAD DAYS. EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES. Be kind. Be grateful. It’s called FISHING NOT CATCHING! Luck is luck. Build GOOD KARMA.

Amazing guide and all around great guy. Went out for my first trip for salmon, and within an hour we were on the fish. He put me on my first Chinook and as a bonus I was able to reel in 3 coho with one keeper. Friendly, knowledgeable, and will book with him again in the future.

Eric is a great guide and made my kids vacation. He got us in last minute after another guide cancel. Eric I can't thank you enough for how you treated my son and the experience of a lifetime you gave us. I would definitely come back to Oregon to fish with you!

Eric is a highly motivated individual, a genuinely good guy, and you can tell he loves fishing. Even to the seasoned fisherman, if you are humble enough to be teach-able, he will help you fine tune your game, and provide a day of fishing well worth the price of admission. Wouldn't hesitate to fish with Eric again, or recommend. A+

Never felt like I've been so robbed in my life. The guy is far from a guide, we met him early in the morning nd we head out to another marina out of the way to pick up his friend. We hook up to fish a few times and he constantly says let them eat it, let them eat it and everytime we lost fish. 2 out of 10 fish were landed because of him. Then mid day had to head back to the marina to drop his friend off. The whole day was wasted screwing around and we had to pay 225. I've never been so robbed in my life. I'll do everyone a favor, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. Find another guide service who knows what their doing.
