Esther's Pantry reviews
18It is a nice place and people are very friendly there it's too bad that people have to take advantage of it when it was meant for HIV people only and be greedy about it by taking more than what they need that's a sad part just so they can have money to buy dope with that's the sad part people that really need it it's a bad people that take advantage of it that don't need it.
Friendly and very helpful, supportive and giving staff. Lots of variety of food items in 8 areas within the center all healthy and very tasty fresh food. Will try again soon and I highly recommend it to all others who are in need.
I've been coming downstairs for about 9 10 years now, and this was by far my best experience there yet. Things just came together time wise very little late, I got exactly what I was hoping for food wise and the guy who helped me with spot on in really friendly I really appreciate it. Thank you very much
Best resource for people living with hiv. Lots of food. If you’re on OHP, ride to care can take you to and pick you up there to help get your groceries home.
Brought a friend and it was a wonderful pantry that is available to those in need of a lift!
Love and compassion is shown by this little piece of heaven on earth! You guys rock my socks off! Thanks for doing such great work wouldnt know what to do without y'all! Thank you and much love!
I love Todd's closet they help me be able to afford a healthy lifestyle with the health food they provide and with wonderful clothes that keeps my spirit high.nif you look good then you feel good
They are great. Staff knows you. They also are fast and are willing to get your cart out to your car.
Fresh and friendly I was impressed with the organized efficient help. Gonna go whip out my chefs knife.
It was unbelievable the amount and variety that was given out was hands down the best I've seen in years.
They are quick and friendly. If you need help with getting food this is the best place to go.
I take my sister there and they are great. A lot of food, other free stuff around, and friendly people! Judgement free zone
Currently due to health and safety regulation; clients must wait outside while their items are prepared for them. The food pantry can only be accessed once a month. The variety of items spans the spectrum of food stuffs.
I took my roommate here today, it was much faster/more efficient due to covid precautions than the usual 3 hours it takes.
Great resource for those in need. Be prepared to revive a lot of food. Public transportation is accessable however, open times are usual right during rush hour. Founding on where in Portland you live, this might be a matter of you do not have your own car out access to one.
Since I moved to Portland in November 2017, I kept hearing about Esther’s Pantry. I live in NW Portland and felt it was too far. This past Thursday on February 20,2020 I finally made the effort and was blessed. I was a newbie and the volunteers were extremely busy. Mark was my volunteer and despite it being near the end of the day, Mark explained everything you need to know when you visit. His undivided attention to detail and patience was above and beyond. So glad I made the trip. JUST LOOK how much food is in my freezer and refrigerator. Thanks Mark for restoring my faith in humanity. We need to all vote blue!
It's a great service and ready appreciate what they do. But it's really stupid that everyone has to stand outside int the rain and cold when there is 2 waiting rooms we could sit in. Here is people with HIV out in the bad weather. Doesn't make sense.
This wonderful charitable group treat members of the community with dignity and respect. Established to provide help to people with HIV, they don't ask many questions and will provide help to anyone who asks. This is not some wimpy bag of old bread and canned soup either, fresh veggies and 10 lbs of meat were the star of the show. Thank you for the services you provide.
