Eugene Speech Therapy

I recently contacted Sierra to discuss my father, who suffers from dementia and is unable to speak. My father lives in Canada, so my first question of Sierra was whether she could work with him online. Understandably, that is not possible, but Sierra did not just dismiss me. She generously offered her assistance to me without the expectation of compensation. I asked her a number of questions and she provided me with several techniques which I will be using with my father when I next see him. Sierra is one of a rare breed of processionals who is passionate about what she does. I have encountered Speech Language Pathologists in Canada and they don't come close to Sierra. Sierra puts her patients first and thinks outside of the box. Her goal is to bring happiness and joy to those she treats. I only wish Sierra lived closer to my father. For those of you who are blessed to live in close proximity to this wonderful person, I can assure you that you won't go wrong by working with her.

To say that Sierra has changed my life is no exaggeration. I am a 56 year old man and I congenitally had a scratchy squeaky voice. I elected to have a procedure called medialization laryngoplasty to correct my vocal cords, which was done very well, but post-surgery I had a lingering hoarseness. I had assumed that the surgery was all that was necessary, and after much frustration, I contacted Sierra. I was not easy to convince that this was something that could be solved with therapy, but I put my faith in her, and within weeks, I have a different voice. I am ecstatic! I really didn't think it was possible. I really cannot convey what this means to me emotionally. My odd voice led to bullying and teasing, and it undermined my self-confidence. She truly changed my life, and I'm very grateful. She has also made it fun. Thank you, Sierra!
