EyeHealth Northwest - Peterkort reviews
10After cataract surgery I was told it would take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to get my new prescription filled in the frames I bought from them. Since I am employed as a hospice caregiver (retired RN) I asked if they could be rushed since I need glasses to drive to work. I was told yes but it’s been OVER 3 WEEKS and still no glasses. Customer service is terrible. Most vision centers get new prescriptions filled in 5 to 7 days. No reason given as to why it’s taking so long. Nothing special about my prescription. I could get better service anywhere else in Portland. Won’t be returning.
Shout out to Jade, the optician who helped me find the most fun pair of frames!
They were patient and went the extra mile and even met with me at two locations to find my the frames. I appreciated their knowledge, positivity and professionalism.
I’m really happy with the new frames and the type of progressives to use in my office that Jade recommended.
Thanks to Jade, Katie and the whole team today who were so upbeat!
Staff was friendly and quick. Doctor did a great job explaining the reasons behind each test and what everything meant. My glasses consultant, Sage, went above and beyond in helping me find the right pair of glasses for my face. They took into consideration what and why I didn't like a given pair and patiently helped me find the perfect fit. I definitely took a while. Made a lasting impression.
I'll be recommending this place to my friends.
I tried calling to make an appointment. Waited 20 min on hold to speak to scheduling. I ended up making an appointment online instead. I tried calling back multiple times regarding questions about my appointment. With the multiple attempts of trying to get ahold of someone, I've waited over the phone for over an hour just to speak to scheduling. I couldn't even cancel my appointment bc I could speak to someone.
I had two eye exams last year and discovered why my regular vision exams (at other clinics) have been so difficult. The doctor suspected "corneal warpage" which we were able to confirm after 30 days without wearing my contacts and doing some additional tests. After my visit the eye drops caused such blurry vision I couldn't tell my credit card from my debit card so they were going to send the bill in the mail.
I didn't receive my bill for nearly a year, when I moved and changed address. I must have given them the wrong address or something. A quick phone call and they cleared the late fees and got everything squared away. They didn't hassle me at all and it only took a couple of minutes.
Despite some difficulties, everything worked out and was very professional. The exams were more thorough than anywhere I have been before. I would definitely recommend EyeHealth Northwest!
This is way worst than expected. Worst than a med doctor’s appt. Can’t be spending 1.5 hrs for a diabetic eye exam. They called me in 30 mins after my appt time. Took around 7 mins for the actual eye tests. And waited almost 45 mins for my assigned doctor to “talk” to me. I decided to leave because I have a dental appt after this. Did not expected to last this long.
Their Reason of running behind: emergency early morning that push my assigned doctor? They could at least message/alert the patients that morning about this. So people can prepare for it and make plans if ever they other commitments for the rest of the day. Just be professional.a text message or a phone call will do. But I’m not missing my dental appt tho.
It was a bad idea my primary doctor recommended this place. I’ll stick to my eye place for my glasses. Never at this place again. No wonder this place has a low rating than most eye places out there.
I feel that this is "industrial service" rather than personalized care. The doctor (S. G.) came with transcriber, did some procedures with minimum explanation, like a car service mechanic, and then left quickly. Being a specialized clinic, they even do not have a camera to take picture of eye internals as all other doctors had. How one can document and compare the results of treatment?
And finally, I asked for recommendations, and the assistant gave me a printout from which I learned about their findings (most of which they did not tell about) and that they gave me recommendations (which they never did).
I do not recommend this clinic and the doctor; this visit was way below my expectations compared to other ophthalmologists I visited in the past. Maybe I was not lucky as it was an urgent visit.
IMHO, this location is about selling premium glass frames and charging insurance, not about treatment. They also sent me a letter that they are not happy with the contract they had with Anthem (which lists them as in-network providers) and have difficulties in recovering billed amounts (more than the negotiated price?).
I will not return and still looking for another company. It looks though that many nearby ophthalmology clinics are a part of their franchise.
Every experience I have here is wonderful. The receptionist this Saturday was amazing, proactive, and so kind! Thank you so much for your professionalism, courtesy, and care!
Dr. PV performed my Ptosis repair surgery. I was very happy with the results and Dr. PV was outstanding. I had a great experience with the surgery center, office staff, etc. It did take a long time to get the surgery scheduled, but was worth the wait.
