Best buying/customer experience I've ever had.

I've bought and built quite a few bikes. Been at this for a while - worked in shops, had my hand at racing, claim to fame was being featured in '98 MTB magazine, etc. Fat Tire Farm is pure gold.

Admittedly my first trip to FTF was not to buy, it was to mine info on a bike build for my younger son. I talked with Jay who I just can't speak highly enough of. He gave me great info with zero pressure to buy, helped me understand the new tech world that I was not yet a part of, and was just generally amazing. I didn't buy anything that day, and ended up getting my son a used bike that matched Jay's recco. Couldn't be happier with that.

A month later, decided it was my time (my time.) and returned back to FTF, thankfully paired up with Jay again and left with an Orbea Occam M10, which I turned into an LTD+. Short of story, prob.have dropped $10k+ on the bike candy here and its because they are just that good. I trust them for their opinions and great service. Every time I've spoken with them, they ace communication and recommendations - again with zero pressure or feel of them up-selling me for no reason (its usually me doing that part). They are simply an amazing group of people out there to help riders get their best ride in, period. Hat's off to Jay and FTF. Thanks guys!

What an awesome crew! I had the opportunity of running into Pat and Chris at RockyPoint and showed me some really great product and so I went in today, they had the product, remembered who I was and the shop makes you feel like you are chilling with your buds. Highly recommend

Awesome store!
I came in to get a warranty claim running for my RockShox Reverb dropper post. The shop has a nice atmosphere and everyone is super competent and courteous. After just one week I already had my dropper back, fully serviced.
Thanks!

I went in to Fat Tire today for a few tools to finish setting up a mountain bike I acquired yesterday. I have next to no first-hand mtn biking experience, but only a few months' knowledge gleaned from friends & online forums, as well as an unjustifiable amount of enthusiasm. Patrick spent a lot (like a lot) of time answering every weirdo question I could come up with, as well as sharing a ton of other helpful info, both about mtn biking in general, & info specific to me & my bike setup. He showed me a lot of potentially useful tools for the future but at no point did I feel pushed to buy anything I didn't want. I feel stoked to have found a shop I will return to. Having interactions like that are mega encouraging for new riders.ty ty ty for chatting & stoking my little bike fire.

The place to go for mountain bikes. Patrick spent a solid 45 minutes with my wife and I, and provided a wealth of knowledge about the current market for bikes and parts. Fantastic experience.

I ordered a frame from FTF back in February of 2021 in the height of Pandemic supply chain cluster****ery. Chris at FTF patiently put up with my constant pestering of "Is it here yet? Is it here yet? ". The delay in getting it was purely due to factors outside FTF's control. But last week the day finally came. NEW BIKE DAY!

A clean shop with knowledgeable people that care a lot about mountain biking. If their parts cost is higher than internet sellers, keep in mind you're paying for their knowledge and experience. If you're asking questions from qualified experts, don't expect the same price as a website that doesn't provide any service.

I bought a mtn bike in the 4-5k range. Not a high end bike, but not a Huffy either. Staff was fairly helpful, but a bit condescending at times. What I wasn’t told until I got to the counter to pay, was that they ding you $200.00 to build the bike. If I had known, I would have either bought it online or better yet, just had them sell me the bike unassembled. A frame up build is not that tough. I have built up full suspension bikes before.

They have a good stock for being during quarantine. This is unfortunate because they have some of the worst customer service I’ve seen. I have gone in twice looking for advice on their inventory, stating I was looking to buy a bike. The response I get is almost annoyance that they have to help me. They are annoyed to bring any bikes out, which is difficult because they won’t allow anyone in their store to see the stock. I would like to buy from a local place, but I would expect better customer service for a $3k+ purchase

I got into mountain biking after a really long time. Bought a used bike and am having it serviced here. Kurt has been really helpful and has been very patient about my queries and concerns. Definitely a great experience so far. Pretty confident about their ability to service well and build if someone needs those services!

Very good experience with buying a Status 140 here, they said that deliveries of status orders were going quickly, so we expected a month or so, but I got it in 2 weeks. It can set up perfectly, and I am very happy with it. Good job Chris!

Wouldn’t accept a new part return sold to me 3 days prior, only store credit. Not the service I’d expect. Kept an $87 sale, lost a new bike sale next year ‍️

Great shop and very friendly and helpful guys working there. They noticed my rear shock on my new Enduro didn't sound right so they took the bike back and swapped it out on the spot.and had me hitting the trails within half an hour. I wish we could have entered the store but was off limits due to Covid-19. We had to window shop

Super high end mountain bike shop and these guys know bikes. Had some derailleur trouble and they managed to get it dialed back in with a really fast turnaround.

These folks are awesome. They have great customer service! Right now is tough what with the covid & covid rules. Not only are they top notch on the covid rules & safety. They are still willing to help a fellow rider get what they need.
