Flying Pie Pizzeria reviews
16 Where is the cheese?

I had better pizza in india.
I also had the worst pizza of my life in india.
I really wanted to give this place a great review. The staff was wonderful and the wait time was reasonable. But, the amount of toppings on the pizza was absurd. Don’t get me wrong, we love pepperoni - but there was so much pepperoni you literally couldn’t taste anything else. And they have to cook it longer because of so many toppings, so the crust and bottom was rock hard; I literally had to take a knife and hack pieces of it off. Plus with so much pepperoni and rock hard dough, the sauce was nonexistent. Having less pepperoni and a softer dough and more sauce would have made it so much better. And parking is about impossible, even though we were there at about 4pm during a week day.
Came about an hour before closing and was hoping for a beer and slice, ordered wings and a calzone and "wings" instead. And a soda cuz you can't take your beer outside. Knowing it was close to closing I asked for it to go. Waited outside with my soda, cuz COVID. Was hoping theyd let me know it was ready. Idk, they knew I was out there. 10mins to closing I'm like? Go in to return my cup. My order was ready and waiting.like it was there for a while?
I'll chalk it up to Sunday night vibes? I hear good things about this place. The wings are breaded white meat chunks and there was barely any cheese in the calzone. Imma grab a beer on my way home and see if that will improve my experience
The food was quite excellent and I must say their dough is really delicious. The service was good up until my partner and I were sitting outside and we both watched as an employee walked by and just didn’t say anything at all…. Then went back inside. But he was young so maybe they don’t teach good manners there not sure. The atmosphere was great if you’re into antique and late 90’s early 2000’s vibe. We will be going back! We just hope the people seem happier next time!
Consistently excellent pizza; perfect crust, generous toppings with outstanding pepperoni! Nice people behind the counter and competitive prices. My favorite, by far!
The pizza here is absolutely worth the price. Especially these days - seems like every single local pizza place costs minimum $50, but not here - i spent under $40 for a carry out XL with 3 toppings. Their pizza is decked out in fresh, high-quality toppings. More amazing is that the buttery crust is still crispy on the bottom under that mountain of toppings! So delicious and filling. Order was ready right on time and service was great.
First time coming to Portland, very nice place to visit. We searched best pizza places in town and Flying Pie Pizzeria is the 1st thing that popped up and im very glad and pleased with the pizza we got. Very good size pizza with alot of toppings. Good customer services and friendly waitress and cooks. I would suggest it for others to eat!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! The pizza is amazing. You need a knife and fork to eat a slice! I go 1 to 2 times a week! It costs a little more, but trust me, it's TOTALLY worth it. The people are awesome. You get to watch them make it from scratch. I can't say enough good things about this place!
Overall, Flying Pie Pizzeria makes really tasty pizzas, and their pepperoni is especially tasty. However, both times that I have dined here the pizza has been overwhelmingly greasy. I have dined-in and gotten pizza to-go, and on both occasions the bottom of the pizza was completely soaked through with grease.
The location is really great as well, but parking on the main street can be difficult during peak times. However, there is plenty of street parking in surrounding blocks, so you won't ever need to walk more then a couple minutes to reach the establishment.
Best pizza in town, amazing service, arcade games, and much more. Very welcoming staff. Great pizza thicker crust and is very crispy when fresh. Beware if you order toppings they will pile them on. Very high quality ingredients and pizza. 10/10
BEST. PIZZA. EVER! We get this pizza once a month as a special treat. I call it in and it is usually ready right when I get there. The staff is friendly and the pizza is great! I totally recommend Flying Pie! See you next month!
Best pizza hands down in Portland only suggestion I have is don't order thin crust large combo as pizza can't support the weight of the toppings.
My family has been coming here since they were little, now they bring their kids, family and friends come from all over the united states, where do they want to eat, Flying Pie of Portland Or, thanks for so many memories.
Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service. Good crust, and you just won't find a place that is more generous with the toppings.
The Best Pizza you will ever find. If you haven't already tried it, you need to treat yourself and your family and friends. I would have shown you a picture but unfortunately, well you can probably guess what happened to our pizza.
SOOOOO GOOD
The pizza was amazing and the servers were good. It was a bit crowded and had to wait awhile for a table but outside of that no complaints
