Fort Hoskins Historic County Park reviews
15I was seeking a restroom and found a beautiful place with a lovely view and exciting history.
Definitely quiet for sure and nice a lot of history there's posting all over the park some structures old from the 1800s some hiking trails if you go there on a Sunday you may get lucky and there will be no one there if you like that bring a bear spray if you like you don't have to but there is a posting about mountain lion and bear in the are
Such a wonderful, historical place. The picnic covered area is great for Family reunions and the bathrooms are nice and clean.
Beautiful place to take out kids for an afternoon adventure our kids are 6 & 7 but the first time we brought them to see the old houses they were only 5 & 6 but they enjoyed the historical sites. We are thankful to the families who allow people so close to such beautiful historic homes!
Nice place to stop by. Covered picnic area and the rest rooms very well kept. Modern rest rooms, not out-house.
This is one of my favorite places to go and get away from everything. Very peaceful, clean, restrooms are open and clean, it’s absolutely beautiful there.
It is probably one of the most peaceful enlightening places in the state of Oregon as a young girl I lived on that property b. So it is a real recenter place for me. There's a lot of information on that piece of property and there's a lot of good energy there nice place to take the family and have a picnic
Beautiful view from the parking lot and picnic shelter across Fort Hoskins grounds and down the lock commute River Valley. Great 1.7 mile loop trail above picnic shelter parking lot. Top of loop looks out across Kings Valley. Wheelchair accessible path at picnic shelter and bathrooms. Very nice and clean bathrooms. Pictures are from two different times.
Very interesting lost treasure in Oregon. I was surprised at the quality features, modern powered and watered restrooms and picnic area. Great easy trails to walk and the old buildings and historical markers.
The first fun thing I did after my father died was go the Summit Summer Festival and then this park, which was newly opened. I loved the stillness of it. I still love coming here. There's an old apple orchard; ea h tree has a tag naming the type of apple. There are nice restrooms and a really good, fairly large picnic shelter you can reserve, with tables, a cooktop and sinks. There are historic signs, and an officer's house. Just a pretty, quiet, interesting place.
Nice up hill trail. Covered area with picnic tables. Clean bathrooms with running water! Such a beautiful view at the top of the hill.
This is a very secluded beautiful Park on a back road to my house I like to take it just to enjoy the scenery this park is great I suggest that you go there NOW!
Nice. Clean! Well groomed lawns. Easy access unless you have a bus, motor home or trailer. But for a "Day Park" it is great.
Visited the place for the second time as in the first time, I was just scouting the place. Just before the board map, you can see the trail on the left hand side. It's a pretty good trail, took about 45 mins to 1 hour to complete the whole trail. Definitely worth the view, after climbing for that amount of time.
Very nice picnic spot with well established seating place in the hut and also there's a small house (Fort) at the bottom of the road. Didn't go to the fort this time, probably next time.
OK place to launch a boat. Lots of parking. Good toilets. No picnic area which is a big miss as there is plenty of room. No maintained shore line so again a bit of a miss.
