Frank's Noodle House reviews
17I love this spot for the hand pulled noodles and handmade dumplings. Your $$ stretches far here. I also enjoy the Kung Pao chicken
Hand-pulled noodles (I like them with squid), great dumplings, and good people working there.
Saw this place on diner's, drive- ins, and dives with Guy Fieti. The hand pulled noodles were something that I had never tried before. What a great meal! We started out with the dumplings, I did not enjoy those. They were really blandt, and the mystery sauce served with them was disgusting. The pork belly noodles however were very, very good! The wife had the beef and it was tender and also delicious. The house was a funky little Portland classic, full of smells and charm. The service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely be back for those noodles and look forward to trying something else.
Loved the dumplings and the tofu noodles. One of the best noodles I ever had. The place is very cute and the service was very fast.
Unfortunately it seems like this place has gone downhill. The egg rolls were crispy but clearly from premade frozen and must have cost 50 cents. Just goop inside, no discernable differences in any of what was inside.
Handmade noodles are tasty but the general tso's chicken was mushy and barely spicy. Tons of sauce and too sweet. Maybe other protein/sauce options come out better.
This was pickup takeout. 29 bucks out the door for a single entree and egg rolls. Eek.
This was my first visit. The service was excellent. The food was even better!
I will definitely visit again or order for takeout.
The blandest dish of food I have had in Portland; would absolutely not send anyone to eat here. Avoid the pork belly noodles unless you like eating solidified sadness. Asking for extra hot meant getting a thick, brown paste rubbed on that sort of tasted like hot? It's also very, very hard to find any protein in the dish.
Pork+cabbage is slightly better, but only by comparison.
Unclear pricing meant we were charged a different price than what's on the menu AND what the host said. I feel like we got robbed.
Ruined a good day.
On 5/8/23, we ordered 3 dishes: Mongolian beef, shrimp noodles, and beef noodles. Very disappointed! They food was so salty and unable to eat! We had to box them. We won’t return, sorry.
The hand pulled noodles are food but i didn’t care for the seasoning. I tasted little difference in the flavor of either. The dumplings were good.
If you haven't eaten at Frank's Noodle House do yourself a favor and take the step in improving your life at your next nearest opportunity. Best noodles in town and they really do stretch em by hand! See the proof!
Delicious. Not to keen on substitutions. Fun and casual. TSO'S CHICKEN, NOODLES GREAT!
I had the hand-pulled noodles with black bean sauce, and my friend had stir-fried noddles. Both were excellent dishes!
The food here at Franks is really good. The noodles are scratch made and super tasty. The General Tso chicken was also delicious.
Great noodles but virtually ZERO pork belly. $15? Probably won't go back. There were 6 very small pieces of pork that honestly tasted like regular pork, not pork belly. Chewy and thin. Bummer. Was really looking forward to enjoying it.
Amazing spicy noodles, I highly recommend the the house suateed beef noodles, very delicious and savory!
Pretty disappointed. I got the pork belly noodles, sort of flavorless. The black bean noodles had a lot more flavor but both noodle dishes had almost zero meat:/
And the hot sour soup tastes like they poured some vodka in it. Anyway, I doubt it's as bad as my experience, I guess just order the right thing and hope they actually put a reasonable amount of meat in it
