Wow, where to start. Well I seen a man confronted by the store security and they not only were bullies but the ALSO made fun of the way the man walked! I was really shocked at that. The employees are tools! They are mindless drones who hate working there. The customers seem friendly but the staff is the most incompetent I have ever seen. I will never return to this store.ever.

This store is so revolting it deserves no place on the scale of 1 to 5. It is my neighborhood store and I often go there to pick up necessities, when I tell you I have at least one negative experience every time I go I’m not lying. The staff are rude and disrespectful and could care less about what they’re doing. If you go up so someone to ask where something is they will most likely say “I don’t know. ” With a condescending tone. I unfortunately will not be able to not go here because it’s the store closet to my house walking distance but if I could choose I would never go here again. I am extremely disappointed with their mask regulations and lack of regard for covid restrictions. I can’t believe humanity has stooped to this level, Fred Meyers is the burning torturous hell of Portland, Oregon.

The checker Eric began smashing my groceries. I asked if he was ok. He seemed off. He called over their manager Jamie who said this was perfectly normal. I have pictures and a video of them harassing me, and treating me as if it was unreasonable to not want $300 in groceries destroyed. I will never show here again.

DON'T EVER WORK HERE
I got transferred to pdx when I moved. Turns out this is the worst store in the district for employees. I spent WEEKS repeatedly telling my superiors that I couldn't work more than part time due to doctors orders regarding a disability. EVERY WEEK they scheduled me 8-10 hour shifts and 5-6 days in a week. There were times where I was told i couldn't leave these long shifts early (while having flair ups) because they were too short handed. I was told I need to "figure it out" that "the schedules are written in advance" (for 3 months!?) And that I need to "deal with it". This caused my health to plummet so fast that one day i left and never went back. It's been months and I'm still recovering from the damage these people caused simply by not giving a damn.

AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON KROGER AS A COMPANY

Nice employees. Incredibly long line at pharmacy due to lack of personnel. Many items aren't available resulting in some empty shelves. This has all happened since the pandemic.

I have distributed 57 flyers in the Portland area for a school project regarding whether or not charging children as adults is moral. The flyer discusses racial discrimination, inappropriate circumstances for the children in adult prisons, and a section at the bottom for further information and actions people in Portland can easily make. I made the flyer myself, it is not in support of any political candidates, there is no graphic or traumatic imagery on the flyer, and it has a solely hopeful purpose. This was the only Fred Meyer I have been to that has asked to filter through the community board they put up by the bathrooms. As instructed, I asked Collin in the customer service department of this store if I could put up my flyer. He looked it over and decided that I could not put it up. There were far more politically charged flyers already on the board, and I was given no clear reasoning as to why I could not distribute my flyer here. Collin was not clear about the reason he couldn't allow me to put up my flyer, nor did he advise me to bring it up with higher management.   Other than the employees that work at this particular Fred Meyer, I have had no other problems with the produce or products sold here. If collin feels that his personal opinion is more important than others', then I'm surprised he does not filter through the bulletin board more often.

Good selection, and friendly employees, but they've taken too many things away (sushi bar, Peet's coffee, the bar in the liquor department)! I know some of these were for COVID-19, but still the place has been going downhill for a long time, it feels just like every other Fred Meyer, blah.

Since they closed the Hawthorne entrance I have stopped going there almost completely. It was far quicker to use that entrance as a local resident who prefers to walk there and now must walk/carry heavy bags around the gross sides of the building. If I have to drive I'm going somewhere else.

Fred Meyer - a company that calls the police during widespread power outages to ensure that their food spoils rather than feeding the cold and hungry. I encourage you to boycott this company and their unnecessarily cruel business practices.

OF COURSE! ONCE AGAIN! I WAS FOLLOWED & WATCHED FOR BEING BLACK WHILE SHOPPING BY SECURITY! I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO FIND ANOTHER STORE TO SHOP AT. I'M FED UP! AND I LOVE FRED MEYER'S FRESH PRODUCE. I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO SHOP ELSEWHERE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I JUST WENT IN TO CASH A CHECK, PAY MY RENT & GET A FEW THINGS TO EAT AND GOT SINGLED OUT BECAUSE I'M BLACK! I DID NOTHING WRONG TO BE FOLLOWED. IT HAPPENS ALL OF THE TIME AT FRED MEYER. IT'S USUALLY THE WOODVILLAGE LOCATION & TODAY ON 3805 SE HAWTHORNE. I WILL NOT GIVE FRED MEYER ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO HARRASS ME AGAIN!

They lost another customer today. I'd heard of the poor mask mandate enforcement at other Fred Meyer locations, but did not run into it until today at my regular store. My wife and I spoke to an employee after seeing a clown without a mask being checked out. We were told by said employee that per management the employees were supposed to "deal with it" when there was a customer not wearing a mask. Well there were multiple employees and a security guard and no one was even speaking to this clown who wasn't wearing a mask let alone asking him to leave or refusing him service. Including the employee we spoke to. If that is the lackadaisical approach Kroger and it's subsidiaries are going to take to public health in a pandemic, I'll drive up the street to a different store.

This is one time that I wish I could give negative (-0) stars. For the parking lot to be in the condition it was ALL DAY in this weather is ridiculous. You make plenty money, have the parking lot cleared of snow at night.

90 minute wait at the Pharmacy today, guess I'll find a different place, a person could die in line waiting for their meds.

I quit Fred meyer in April, after working there 8.5 years. I was convinced that place would get myself or a loved one killed by their irresponsible behavior and complete disregard for worker's safety at the beginning of the pandemic. Not to mention being short staffed during panic buying (I was on food freight). The peace of mind that my new company gives, simply because they don't short staff and take the pandemic seriously, is a huge improvement.

Solid store. Staff has gone out of their way numerous times to try and find things for me; the people at the register are on top of everything fast.

I work at hawthorne Freddie's and we had an incident where a no mask customer was accosted by another customer over covid safety. Security took the side of the no masker and management paid for his groceries as an apology. Management also has instructed us to do nothing about ppl not wearing masks. All the Freddie's I've been to are really dropping the ball on this.
