Fried Egg I'm In Love reviews
16 Incredible breakfast! HAD to come back!
But.
I'd like to start a petition that every other song played in the establishment be by the Cure for added effect.
Great food but service/wait can be infuriating. I stop by 1-2 times a month after dropping kids off. I order ahead and it's always 5-10 min longer than they say and getting someone's attention to actually get your food can take another 5 min. They seem chronically understaffed and generally a bit rude. Kind of like they are put out to help you.
Great breakfast sandwiches! Fun menu, loved the creativity with the music themed sandwich names. The day we ate there, the online ordering system had gone down, so sandwiches were delayed forty five minutes, but the staff were friendly and great and we were able to wander the local shops and come back around the time they were ready. Across our group of four, everyone enjoyed great sandwiches and hash bites.
Long wait, great food! I really enjoyed the vegan sandwich. Incredibly tasty! However, I'd order ahead. The wait is very long.
Fried Egg I'm In Love in a fried egg breakfast sandwich restaurant in Portland, Oregon from founder, Jace Krause. It started as a food cart on April 1st, 2012, but since then, it has expanded to multiple locations around the city of Portland. We checked out the brick-and-mortar location on Hawthorne. There is free street parking nearby, and they have a few tables outside if you're dining with dogs.
+Yolko Ono (toasted sourdough, fried egg, smashed sausage patty, and pesto) for $9.50 - This is Fried Egg I'm In Love's bestseller, but it tasted like a normal fried egg sandwich to me. I may need to try other sandwiches on their menu. - 4/5
Overall, Fried Egg I'm In Love was fun, but I would not go out of my way to come here again. The line can be pretty long to order from, and it's not worth the hassle.
It’s really good. If you actually get what you paid for. Been multiple times over the years and every time am not given my complete order or given the completely wrong order. Unless I’m bringing someone here from out of town, there are some better places out there that will literally give you what you paid for.
I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. It's actually perfect to me. I got the huevo mutilation with vegetarian sausage and it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever (and will ever) eat! Service is equally as perfect, everyone was very kind and professional and down to earth. A little pricey but amazing quality. The Hawthorne location is perfect too because after you eat breakfast, you can explore all the shops!
Our favorite vegan brunch place. We go there at least once a month, even though we don't live in SE anymore. Staff are always lovely too!
Very cute place with a lot of charm. We ordered the breakfast bowl and it was not what we expected. It was really a breakfast plate, but in a shallow bowl. I would definitely try something else next time.
This place stays busy, so be prepared to wait if you don't arrive early. It's worth the wait, simple, well-made breakfast. Easily order to go with their convenient packaging. Or stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Meet someone new and see what they ordered to know what to try next time I have tried the hash bite, Smells Like Protein Spirit, and Yolko Ono. The quantity of food was perfect for me, and everything was cooked to perfection, bread toasted just right. Remember, it can be a bit greasy depending on what you order. I'm excited to try the vegan options next time.
This place is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD! Not to be missed. Visited Portland, and would literally come back just for the Egg Zeppelin sandwich.delish! Plus they had gluten-free bread, & vegan/GF sausage patties. So yummy! Highly recommend!
The best spot to get fresh breakfast sandwiches in SE Portland! Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Their service is great and the atmosphere (if you choose to eat in) is super cute and happy yellow. I recommend the Protein Spirit sandwich with avocado Love this spot, will order again in the future!
In LOVE with this place! The food is to die for! My favorites are the Yolko Ono and the Huevo Mutilation! The service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced! There may be a wait but it’s understandable and sooo worth it! Very fairly priced as well!
We absolutely loved this place.it was a fabulous breakfast spot, and the sauce served with the hash browns was particularly smokey and delicious.the sandwiches were
so cheesy that they would stretch cheese when you bite into them.the grapefruit sage mimosa was so good we went for another round.lovely experience all around
I legit need these guys to open a store on the East side.
I have been a loyal FEIIL customer for years. They never disappoint. I can't go as often as I would like, but make it there every couple of months for their epic breakfast sandwiches. I love how much I can customize my sandwich and they are always cooked perfectly. Maybe someday I will try something new, but I just can't get over their sammies.
A must eat in portland, cant go wrong with sinple egg breakfast and Feiil does it extra delectably. The housemade sousage has the perfect spice level. In town for vacation, spent longer deciding where to have breakfast than it takes to cook and eat breakfast at home, and I am so glad I decided on here. I'll be going back every chance I get.
