Fried Egg I'm In Love reviews
18This is a must stop spot when in Portland. I grabbed the “smells like protein spirit” with smashed pork sausage and added aioli. The bread is toasted perfectly, the fried egg, is delicious AND the egg is cooked to textbook standards. A slightly gooey egg - a few napkins needed - but not overly saturating your hands in yolk. It’s absolutely divine. When I go back I will ask for the aioli to be only on the bread that touches the egg so the gooey yolk and elevated mayo dance to make the perfect sauce. Both sides of the sandwich with aioli was a little over powering at times. Each bite was an overall delight. Never too greasy, the bread stayed nice and toasted, no soggy bottom — and I even walked 10 min back to my hotel. Ordered two sandwiches with a few modifications and the total was $17 bucks. Fair prices and wonderful breakfast.
Ordered the yolko ono with holy aioli, personally I felt it’s too strongly flavored and greasy as a breakfast sandwich, I had to eat with a cup of coffee. Otherwise it’s very flavorful and special.
Absolutely the best egg sandwich I’ve had in Portland. Crunchy & chewy toast, eggs with a hint of spice, and delicious sausage slathered in savory pesto - perfection. AND they’re open on Sunday Mornings. I *will* be back.
Another VEGAN awesomeness in Portland! (Yes, it is mostly non-vegan)
It’s just nice, as a vegan, to have more options than fries and an Impossible Burger. The server said they make their own meat patty. That is AWESOME! Something totally unique that they created! GREAT flavor.
Highly recommend!
One of the best food trucks in Portland and maybe THE BEST for breakfast sandwiches! It's such a fun food truck to go to with great, precise options and everything I have tried here is absolutely amazing. The staff are always very informative and welcoming and the food is perfect everytime. Can't recommend this place more!
If you love eggs, this is the place for you. Lots of great options. Be prepared to wait in line.
I heard amazing stuff about this place so maybe my expectations were too inflated, but honestly it was just ok.sandwich was good but not spectacular.a bit too greasy. I'd give 3.5 if i could but i can't, so i guess I'll bump them up to 4.
First time at this food cart and I had the best breakfast sandwich in my life and it was vegan, the Vegan and Sara, a riff on the band Tegan and Sara.
Opened 15 min late, took another 15 min to get my sandwich. Spent 30 minutes to get a quick, fairly mediocre breakfast sandwich. Lots of aggressive and mentally ill homeless at 8am
Quick order turnaround and very tasty sandwiches. Highly recommend getting the sandwich with pesto on it
The menu is unique.
The prices are low and it's a popular shop with a steady stream of customers.
It's a bit small for America, but it was very simple and delicious. It wasn't too much and it was just the right amount.
So good! Probably one of the best eggs sandwiches I’ve ever tried.
Friendly service also.
Got the Smells Like Protein Spirit and added avocado & holy aioli sauce that is recommended with this sandwich.
This place was great. Rolled up on it the morning of the solar eclipse, though in true Portland fashion, it was cloudy. Excellent food though! Crispy, slightly sour, crunchy yet chewie sourdough with a nice fried egg and sausage. I added the holy aioli and it wss very much like a hollandaise sauce. Excellent with the pesto sauce on it. Go check this joint out for sure. Food made to order so be prepared to wait a little bit to order and get your food. Well worth it.
My sister and I enjoyed their bestseller sandwich (yolko ono). We added holy aioli to it and it did not disappoint! Served fresh and warm! Service was friendly too.
The vegan option was excellent! Very tasty and i loved the spicy aioli.i enjoyed that the distance was a short walk from my hotel!
I usually go here when I get off of work and I've never had any complaints until today. I asked for hot sauce and the male cashier (I assume somebody new because I've never seen him before) rudely told me "next time ask for it when you order" and that's not a way to answer to any customer.
Very busy. Just a food truck outdoors. A lot of people waiting in line to get food means it takes quite a bit to get your order ready.
There's a line every day.and I know why. This is a damn good sandwich. Lightly toasted sourdough doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth, homemade sausage is savory and well seasoned, smashed thin and griddled to perfect crusty perfection, jammy egg. I was tempted to deduct a star for service because it was 45 minutes from getting in line to taking a bite.but it's not their fault they're so popular. They seemed to have an efficient system of taking orders to maximize their griddle space.
