Gardner House Cafe and Bed & Breakfast reviews
17I found the Gardner House to be a great place for an adult "time out". I recommend a vanilla latte and the chicken caprese sandwich. Remember to bring a book. Oh, and did I mention they have a superb lemon tart.
Quaint little Cafe setting. Excellent food and delicious desserts. Definitely willbe coming back.
I love this place. Good thing I have two dear friends who live in Stayton, reason to go! They work hard to make such wonderful dishes and memorable experiences.
Thoroughly enjoyed my 5 day stay here. Quaint, clean and historical. James was awesome and even helped pressure wash my Wildland fire truck at 9: 30pm! Fresh ground coffee every morning, comfortable bed. What more do you want? !
Went for high tea. The food was good but the atmosphere was very odd. The owner was giving a space tour loudly next to our table, so we unable to chat and enjoy our tea. There was no tablecloth, the tea was very weak and the dishes were tacky. Also the owner was rude on checkout. We have been to alot of high teas this one was the worst we've ever had.
We love their cafe. Great homemade food. Pastries are dangerously tasty. They have a great little NASA exhibit as well. Wonderful place right in downtown stayton. Support local business.
Wonderful little B&B. Saturday morning they make the best homemade giant Belgian waffles! And some of their pepper bacon and a Carmel cream latte! And the owners are the nicest people! Even if you don't stay there, go in And have breakfst!
Stopped in here for lunch today. We had a BLT on a croissant and meat loaf sandwich. Bother were excellent. We were able to eat outside and had a nice discussion with the owner. The chocolate cake (his daughter's State Fair blue ribbon winner) and the coconut cream pie were also great. When in Stayton it's a great place to stop in. We'll do it again.
Little hidden gem.
This place is lovely, the building has lots of old charm and personality. The food is good, fresh and satisfying, great customer service from the proprietor himself. Looks like the property needs a new lawn which it seemed it's on its way. I would recommend this place and I will go back for breakfast.
Delicious good quality food. Cute environment in an old house. Tables set up in rooms throughout. Great service too. Fresh made scones were delicious!
Museum tour was knowledgeable and entertaining. Service went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Because of a winter storm we wereunable to make it to our destination so at about9pm we called them and they took great care of us!
Great service! Wonderful food! Home like feel. Also enjoyed the interesting space museum tour. Will definitely be back!
The food is amazing. We look forward to the Friday dinners. We have not been disappointed. ANYONE within 20 miles of this place you need to stop. To top it off they have a NASA Museum with a moon rock.
Not knowing what to expect, we scheduled the Gardner House B&B due to its close proximity to the hospital. Prior to, and upon arrival, we were provided with great communication. The accommodations were more than comfortable. The food was excellent. The hospitality superb. We would recommend it without reservation.
Quaint and compact, terrific food. I had the Monte Cristo, with black forest ham and guyere cheese on sourdough and it was wonderful. My wife had the Belgian Waffle, which was piled high with fruit and whipped cream. Loni Loftus, the genius in the kitchen, is an award winning baker and it shows.
Limited food choices but if you're looking for a nice place to stay and breakfast in the morning it's an ideal place very cool with you
Try the blt. I would not recommend bringing you young children here. Very cool little b&b.try the coconut cream pie.
