Gates Home Furnishings, Grants Pass OR

We were looking for a large area rug, they didn't have what we were looking for. They currently have some very nice furniture.
We have bought numerous pieces from them over the years. It's nice to have a very nice local furniture store.

The folks at Gates are awesome! We worked with two great women and Ben, the manager. We lost our home to a fire 7/22/23 and the recovery process has been stressful. They really went above and beyond to help us and we absolutely love our new bedroom set and entertainment center. Thank you for all of your help!

Absolutely love my couches. Tristin was great and helped us with the purchase. Great sales men he did not pressure us on a single couch. The delivery guys were great. Thank you so much.

Every time we go to buy a piece of furniture, we go to Medford and everytime we end up back at gate. Every peice in are home is gates.

I had another positive shopping experience at Gates. Virginia, sales lady, was sweet, helpful, a go getter, kind and patient. I went into the store and within 1 hour had an entire house full of furniture. Everything was in stock and delivered two days later. The delivery men, Ely and Riley, were professional, so careful with the furniture. Didn’t ding any walls or furniture. Had to take table apart to bring it in and not one complaint or bad attitude. Very polite and kind. Good team players. Excellent communication all around.
The manager Ben was phenomenal! He came along Virginia and helped with the process. Thank you Gates! I will never buy anywhere else.

The service department came to my home in 2 days after calling. My chair was looked over throughly, and repaired with efficiency. The serviceman was very friendly and professional. He even loved my dog. Great guy. Love Gates furniture. I've been a customer for 30 years, and I wouldn't buy anywhere else.

Amy was patient and great help in our decision. Our delivery men were super and knowledgeable about our chest bed. Currently we are letting the mattress air as is typical with a new foam mattresses. Hoping to hear good reviews from our first overnight guests.

My lady and I decided a few weeks back to go to Gates to find a new bed set, we tried out a few beds before a sales rep came in. She asked some preference questions then had us try the sleep test, to see where our pressure points are and what bed may be a good fit. Long story short, we decided on a bed that felt good in the store and took it home. The bed was absolutely uncomfortable. Extremely firm, nothing like the one in the store. We decided to go back and try out some others and maybe find a better match.this time we took even more time testing beds and finally settled on one we were completely sure of.
We brought the new bed home, it was not close to as plush as the one in the show room. Talked to the rep and explained the reason we decided to shop in a store for a bed instead of somewhere like Amazon is to actually test the bed in store to make sure we like it.
She told me that her manager said - beds break down over time, and eventually it will feel like the one on the show room floor. She also mentioned maybe put something “weighted” on the bed during the day to help it break in.

Weight a bed down to achieve the same feeling of the bed on the show room floor? !

Sorry Gates, never ever shopping with you guys again. That was two strike outs, and a lot of money spent for two uncomfortable beds and wasted time.

Tom at Gates has always been very honest and helpful. We have never been unhappy with whatever furniture we have purchased.

I have nothing but positive comments for Gates, very good sales people, never pushy or irritating. Deliveryman is a reflection of the whole attitude of Gates Furniture, great place.

Gates is an excellent place for sofas, couches and recliners. The sales person was very helpful and courteous and patient. The delivery crew was on time and pleasant. I was very pleased with my experience with Gates.

Great experience shopping locally at Gates. Kris Johnson was very helpful and fun to do business with. I wasn't sure I wanted a certain color, but encouraged me to "look outside the box". Glad I did, color and furniture looks great in our living room and is very comfortable. We also knew, if we didn't like the way it looked we had 12 days to return it. Delivery personnel very professional and considerate. This was our 4th major purchase with them over the past several years. We have not been disappointed. We highly recommend Gates Home Furnishings!

This is a huge furniture store with a very wide range of things to help spruce up your home. We were very pleased with our visit and so far LOVE our furniture. The delivery was super quick and the delivery guys were very nice and professional. Truly a great place to do business with.

Got a good deal on a great top of the line ULTRA COMFORT full lift recliner. We LOVE it. Sales, delivery, set up they're the best.

Excellant store, excellant people good long lsting sturdy furniture. I made my first purchase in 2007 and have been going back ever sincw.what they say they do and they back all purchases.

About 6 years ago we purchased a Simmon's mattress from Gates. The mattress became unbearable to sleep on and sagging on both sides - alot. We contacted Gates and they sent out a technician right away to check out the issue. He was on time and very nice. The technician said the mattress definitely had some issues and reported his findings to Gates. Simmon's rejected our claim because they said we used the wrong frame for the mattress. This is not true and we called the store we purchased the frame from and they confirmed that the frame should not have cancelled out our warranty with Simmons and that it actually had more supports in the frame then Simmons required. Upset, we called Gates and again they immediately sent out a technician to look at the mattress. (same man as before). He took more pictures of the mattress and frame and they sent in the issue to Simmons. Simmons rejected our claim again.
Gates stepped up and since Simmons wouldn't stand by their warranty, Gates did. They didn't have to do that - their obligation for the mattress was over but they helped us and gave us the full credit Simmons should have given us. THANK YOU GATES! We got our new mattress (not a Simmons) within a short period and it is wonderful and so comfortable. Thank you Tom in the mattress department for all of your help! You were great and so patient!
The furniture at Gates is beautiful and their sales people are wonderful. We have purchased many pieces of furniture from Gates through our 35 years here and they have always been amazing and professional. The quality of their furniture is excellent - 5 stars. Their deliveries are on time and the people are always friendly. I will always go to Gates first when I'm looking for a piece of furniture! Thank you!

Hi Shoppers, This furniture store is big, Big, BIG. There are many floor displays with styles and quality that appealed to us. The leather sofa and love seat we bought really accents our family room, and is very comfortable as well. Couldn't have done it without the gentle and professional help from Kris.
The delivery team was professional and courteous as well. They sized up the route into the house and took extra care negotiating any tight/narrow challenges. Good Job Guys, and thanks again Kris. Will definitely pass our experience to friends and family.
