We ordered a wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding from Gathered in June 2023.
Sarah was amazing to work with. She was very friendly and made the process of ordering our wedding cake very easy and simple. She also quickly accommodated some of our dietary needs without issue. She delivered the cake and cupcakes on schedule and the end result was not only beautiful but delicious.

If you aren't choosing Gathered Bakeshop, you are definitely making a mistake.

We had our wedding cake made by Gathered in September and the experience was exceptional. Sarah helped us order our custom cake- she walked us through the process, was upfront about cost and designs, and allowed us plenty of time to try out some of the flavors. Being from out of town, we gave short notice about wanting to try one of the flavors and it happened to not be available that weekend, but Gathered went above and beyond for us, in a way I could never expect, to ensure that we were able to try that flavor out for our wedding cake. The staff at Gathered are delightful and thoughtful. Working with them was just an incredible, stress free, and delicious experience.

We were thirsty after walking the Sunday Market and decided to get some coffee and cake. Cake was delicious (don’t remember what it was called). The counter gal was friendly and patient with us. We went in the afternoon so selection wasn’t the best, next time we in town will go earlier:)

Sarah and Andy have worked so hard to make Gathered a cozy space with carefully crafted baked goods, grocery staples and everyday favorites as well as local artist cubbies that really bring that community feeling to the space. The sweets are perfectly sweetened- never overly sweet but always feels like a complete treat. Highly recommend the custard that changes with the seasons and any of the gluten free goodies that may grace the case. Not only does Gathered sell local goods, fruits, vegetables and baked goods, but their staff is incredible. I had a baked goods emergency and Shana was so helpful with solving my dilemma. I left laughing, with a copious amount of treats and a smile on my face.

Thoughtful desserts with quality ingredients and artistic designs. Sarah's work is exquisite. Stop in for a treat, coffee or groceries and be sure to visit the local gift cupboards. I am and event planner and my groups always rave about the cakes and desserts from Gathered.

Gathered is genuinely a place of community. From the abundance of local food on the shelves, the collection of sauces and spices, the cubbies full of local artists’ works for sale, to the sourcing of local products in their freshly baked goods—Gathered is a one stop shop if you want a taste of what our little coastal community is all about. Sarah and Andy are incredibly thoughtful about every piece of what Gathered is. Something as simple as a tote bag has been carefully thought through, from the ethical sourcing of the bag down to the recycled materials it is made from. They have even gone above and beyond and commissioned their neighbors at Shift & Wheeler to create their pride flag, quilted by local makers from beautiful cloth scraps instead of mass produced in a factory. They open their space for pop-ups for local artists, makers, farmers and producers— graciously making a space for community to come together in support of one another. I could go on and on. The folks who work here are kind and have vibrant energy. Gathered is far more than just a bake shop and market, it is a large part of the heartbeat that is downtown Astoria. Supporting these folks is supporting our community! Stop in if you haven’t and try a rotating custard and a lovely cup of tea or coffee. (I promise that I don’t work here I just really want you to go.)

I frequent Gathered at least once a week. It is a small place that packs a HUGE punch. It has a great selection of products and outstanding support for local vendors of all kinds. The staff is amazing and always knows what product, vendor and event I would like. They keep me up on local happenings, which is great for someone without social media.
The rice krispie treats are to DIE for! The Valentine's cake I ordered was out of this world! Every homemade pasty was wonderful. Whatever you choose to purchase, you won't be disappointed.

Delicious bakery with gluten free and vegan options. They also have a nice side of the store with specialty items- some being local. First time I've ever tried an herbal cola and it was delicious.

Sarah created the most beautiful cake for my wedding that I have ever seen! Working with her was easy, and she understood my vision from the beginning.

Just had one of the best gluten-free cupcakes! Perfect amount of sugar and it was light and delicious.

Sarah made the most delicious wedding cake for us! She consulted with us before the wedding to find out what flavors, size, and design would be best for our needs. The cake was so good and absolutely beautiful! People were raving about her perfect buttercream at the wedding. It was important for me to support local businesses as vendors for our wedding and Sarah certainly delivered! I am also a regular for coffee and treats at Gathered and they have some of the best coffee and unique sweet in town.
