Goodwill Industries Outlet of the Columbia Willamette reviews
20This Goodwill outlet store is an excellent bins store. You can find anything from antics to any dishes and bowls to good used coats and clothes and good pictures and furniture! Worth the trip to go see for yourself!
This is a good location to shop; if you don't mind "combat shopping" to find bargains. Can be hit-and-miss finding good stuff, but most everything is priced by weight.
Don't buy from them online. They are slow to ship and don't honor the 24 hour response policy. It took three days to get a response. They never addressed my issue the first time. Poor customer service.
Nice place to find some good stuff. But these resellers are like animals from the zoo. My teenage son was pushed and called names for no reason. I went and talked to the management they said they will look through cameras. The behavior of these resellers is just unacceptable. Regular people who come there to shop for their family have to chance because 90% of customers are resellers. Very tall guy (Larry) grabbed a leather jacket out of my hands and hit me in the face. Management: can you have one day a week designated for normal customers, not resellers.
Absolutely one of the nastiest and worst goodwill i've ever had the misfortune of going to. It was like going to a city dump and getting charged for the "experience". How this place is in business is beyond me.
Great place to find good items at a good price. You an even get lucky and find collectibles for a steal! Go one time and you are hooked! Good luck
Decided to go out to the Hillsboro Goodwill outlet and realized how ridiculous prices are. Was going to purchase a chalkboard which had a tag on it for $6.99 from the old store but in the outlet it was $8 due to weight. I think it's really low that a so called business that claims to help the community over charges items. Scam shoppers to help others? Makes no sense. Hussaling second hand junkies. We don't need help we just need better pricing.
This place is very chaotic. This is not a traditional thrift/goodwill locaiton. They have these blue bins laid out in lanes with items strewn within them. People are waiting for new bins to come out and pick into. There just seems to be so much going on that it was very hard to navigate for me. I could see it being fun once you get into it, but it just seemed like too much effort. Other comments about resellers were very accurate. People were waiting and hoarding around the new bins coming out and scanning each item to try to see if they could flip things. If you have some time or want to dig through what seemed to be disorganized bins then this is the place for you.
Wonderful place great employees lots of items to choose from and it was fun. The items aren't as separated as they are at the other two local Goodwill bins in Portland OR the Salem one but they have a lot of stuff in each of them just not entirely separated clothing and non clothing stuff
Got a dresser a nightstand brass antique floorlamp 2 steel mix9ng bowls and a fun marble topped plant stand for 55.00. Whoop whoop
I haven’t been to a bin goodwill in a long time. My sister experienced her first one and we came out with a box full for cheap. When we are in town again we will definitely go back!
Used to be an amazing place to find gems and amazing deals on things. But ever since COVID it seems that the amount of people taking on reselling as a "side hustle" has multiplied many times over.
These resellers will not only spend hours hogging up entire bins, scanning and looking up each and every thing. But will spend the entire DAY at the store waiting to get first dibs on every new bin. A time limit for each bin would be greatly appreciated, as I used to be able to consistently find good stuff here and now almost never do anymore.
Competition has made finding a diamond in the rough more difficult since 2020, but everyday deals are still there for the taking. Some furniture there, it's hit and miss and a bit of luck. LOTS of books, but lots of book resellers plowing through the bins. Also lots of clothes, small decor, kitchen items, gardening stuff, electronics, and toys. I've found a set of wine glasses for almost nothing, a few chests of drawers, lawn chaises in great shape, and books. **BRING GLOVES** If you've never been, this place is grimy. Even in pre-Covid times gloves are highly recommended, So is a mask, because people crowd aggressively around bins when they're first brought out, then descend upon said bins like pirhanas. You have to know what you're looking for. And-know that Goodwill is VERY GOOD at filtering out all the valuable stuff. The high-end stuff goes to Goodwill Boutiques, the mid-range stuff to Goodwill stores and leftovers come here. Bring your eagle-eye and your sixth sense for bargains and you may just get lucky.
The employees are not personable. They don't talk to you, say hello, they don't even make eye contact with customers.unless you directly confront them _ and that's just weird. The store is large and has an extensive laundry list- plus, of items. Buuut. I'd say half or more of the items r broken from carelessness and or in unacceptable conditions. Overall though, as a customer, if you have alot of time to rummage through God knows what.and you have a keen eye, you can find very cool things for very little $
The Bins (Goodwill Outlet Store) are not everyone's cup of tea. They are crowded and hectic, and you have to dig through literal bins to look for things. But prices are usually cheap, and there are always cool things to find. Check it out! You'll either love it or hate it.
Very nice store and well merchandiser every time I'm in there. There's always a seasonal section with great variety. Large clothing department with some brand new items as well.
This is the outlet store so much of the items are rough quality but I stop in frequently and often find that diamond in the rough. Today I found a CharBroil grill in good shape for $25 bucks and a toaster for a dollar city.
It is what it is, where Goodwill items go for their last chance to find a home. Rely on serendipity and chance. Rarely find the same things on repeat visits but the same categories. Have found unbelievable treasures and junk that turned out to be prizes. And just junk.
Masks and gloves required but have been recommended for years due to healthy and safety risks pawing through the giant bins.
Know there is a unique etiquette to the process and honor it.
Unfortunately the price per pound makes this no longer the great savings it used to be. Blame the scavengers hired to look for resell items as well as inflation and increased employee costs.
We love this place we went 3 times in 4 days. We are helping someone move into an apartment with nothing. We got a desk $1 and beautiful chair $. 50. Blanket, duvet cover, pots, silverware, dishes so much. All $1.29 a pound. My friend has scored beautiful leather couches $ 10 each. Lots of books lots of clothes. Wow what an experience.
Face masks required. Well sanitized. Everything appropriately spaced for social distancing. Has a nicw outdoor area for larger furniture and activity pieces
