Apparently the trees in Greentrees produce a lot of nuts. Haha. I see all these gushing reviews, but I have heard and experienced a different world there. I am shocked at how out of control it is. It looks nice as you drive around, but on the inside there is a fairly large group of no class no brains loud mouths that do appear to have some serious mental problems. The world revolves around them as they obsess about other residents, point fingers at everyone else and none at themselves, run around gathering other nuts, and try to bully the leadership along the way. I think most people there are nice and keep to themselves, but they are too nice and quiet and self centered, letting the loud mouths cause problems actually for everyone. They effect every one. All the nuts I’m aware of are liberal minded who have been doing drugs and damaging their naturally shrinking old brains since the 70s so wacky self-centered behavior has been the normal for them for a long time. Regardless no one really has any privacy. They publish the names and personal info of new home owners in their newsletter without asking for their permission, at least up to recently. If someone moves in they will have a parade of residents walking by, driving by, stopping and staring into their windows. No class. Did I mention many of the Greentrees residents are nuts? Last year or this year all three of the office staff quit in a short period of time, maybe a couple months if I remember right. I wonder why? I was told the usual “it’s time to move on, ” etc, but I believe the person that said something to the extent they were tired of dealing with so many jerks was telling the most truth. This left the residents personal records unattended, and I was told several unethical residents were in the office reading the personal files of whomever resident they wanted to stalk. Even the greentrees newsletter has just enough spine to mention these things and to ask the residents to try to be decent to the other residents and control themselves instead of standing up and yelling in meetings. Let’s see if the newsletter stops sharing the dark side of Greentrees. Another point is the newsletter mentioning that one or more residents vocally stating they want and/or intend to drive out some other residents from Greentrees. Think about that kind of dark hearted bigotry. It's the worst kind of drama; it's naziesque kind of drama. The lunatics are trying to run the asylum. When I was a kid there was an old person that was off a little like people of every age are off a little, he doesn’t want you near his lawn or she watches every move the neighbors make, but luney-tune older people were pretty rare. They're more commonplace in Greentrees. Then there’s the maintenance dept acting as security: untrained, stalking residents, not so bright, and making bad decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lawsuit is filed against them some day. The board: Retired typical hoa power trippers (some) who don’t care about the details or really think much of the homeowners, to the last one. They're selective and play favorites dealing with the drama aspects, which is bad judgment. But they also just want to keep the place running and enjoy life, which is understandable. It comes down to selecting and delegating to others who have good unbiased judgment, but those leading need good judgment to begin with. There’s some of the dark side of greentrees.
