GT Landscape Solutions helped us redo the landscape for my Mother and Father-in-law's home in Monmouth. The original soil when they bought the house was hard as a rock and nothing was growing well. The yard had problems with surface roots from the trees. The did a complete redo - removing the old trees, amending the soil with quality soil, laying new sod and planting new trees. They worked with us to stay as close to our budget as possible and did the design as well. We had an issue where the cherry trees that were planted were not the ones my mother-in-law had envisioned. They were gracious enough to work with us until the correct tree was installed. We highly recommend this company for a quality result to your landscape project!

Johnny and his crew did a great job installing a dry creek bed for our family. My mother JoAnn is so pleased. The design was just what we wanted and the crew professional and hardworking. We highly recommend them

If you are looking for an excellent landscaping company, this is the one! I am 74. I can still remember when the customer (client) came first on all aspects of a company providing a product, from the beginning, during and after. You cant go wrong here.this company is doing it!
GT did an entire redo of our landscaping, front and back plus adding stone along the walkway to the house, along the front sidewalk and updated our sprinkler system. For me, I did not want to spend hours coming up with a plan. So I told Johnny and Pat use your experience, keeping in mind my suggestions.note: they themselves did not do the work, right? But their installation team did everything to honor my perfection! And boy, did the landscaping blend with the new driveway we put in prior to GT doing their work. Is GT cheap? No. Cheap will get you today's "customer care", which stinks. Are they the most expensive? No. With the research I did prior to picking GT, they fell into all what I have said above. Last, Pat and Johnny don't just "collect the money". They were the go to guys to give support to their excellent installation team!
Note: if you figure out their nice (I think) personalities and they yours, you can have fun while working with them. Guaranteed!

The only reason I leave 2 stars is for the hard workers who try to do their work. The rest of the experience was a nightmare and I hope people look elsewhere for their sanity. I was made to feel bad for questioning work, when in fact the work was being done incorrectly and they were doing damage to my retaining wall in my backyard, which anyone who landscapes knows is essential when you live on a hill, especially in West Salem.

The list of complaints is vast, but what disturbed me the most was the fact that the owner lies to his customers. For over $5,000, you would think I would get what I paid for.but that is a big ol' negative. The plate compacted path, well you can see in the pictures. They used a temper, which is a handheld version of an actual plate compactor, and try to claim it was plate compacted. As a combat veteran, I would assume businesses would practice loyalty, honesty, and integrity (a few Army core values), but we all know what assumptions do…they make an _ out of you and me: (Lesson learned!

The first two pictures are of non-compacted areas, the last is the only truly compacted area. In fact, it looks like the only area where they used the stabilizer, which was $1,500 extra, I might add. Which, I was never told the specific stabilizer it was like I requested (since I wanted an itemized list of costs to make sure I was not being robbed), just the brand name.because they would have had to tell me they used the cheaper stuff that does not last long that I will have to replace in a year or two. Also, I planted the plants, because I was tired of the huge dirt mounds they left.

BEWARE, for your sake. Good luck in your landscaping endeavors.

*If there was enough space and enough patience, I would show all that was detailed and the lies he still continues to spew.

Lastly, for the love of English, learn to write it please!

Green Thumb just completed a large backyard renovation project for us and we couldn't be more happy. From the bid process all the way through completion I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, communication, and willingness to listen to our needs. Scott was great to work with, and offered the most complete bid of the three that we received from local landscape companies. Our project included tear out and removal of existing sod, re-grading and improving drainage in our backyard, installing new sod and several plants and trees, and the construction of a 10X20 foot cedar pergola. The crew that completed our project was excellent, under the direction of crew leader Moises. They worked hard every day through the May heat spell, and left the job site clean every day. Moises communicated with me every step of the way to ensure that we were happy, and on the same page. Everything turned out better than we could have expected. Our neighbors were so jealous, they were peaking over the fence and asking the crew about the project all week. I would definitely work with Green Thumb again.

Aaron and his crew did a great job repairing and extending a sprinkler and drip system in spite of two bad weathers days.
TERRIBlLE SERVICE after the installation when Aaron quit. We spent $5000 for the install in February and didn’t turn the system on until late April, when I discovered a large leak in one of the lines. They wouldn’t come to look at it for 10 days, and when they did they said they wouldn’t cover it under warranty. They said they would have to charge me time and materials and come back later to fix it. WORTHLESS WARRANTY! I just had someone else fix it.

We thought they did a good job until we turned the sprinkler system on last week and one of the lines had a big crack in it. It took them 10 days to come out and then informed us that we had somehow caused it and refused to fix it under their one year warranty.they said the only way they would fix it is if they bid the job and came out again in two more weeks or longer. Would not recommend this company at all. We fixed the line ourselves for four dollars in parts in 10 minutes worth of work.

Scott & his crew will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I appreciated the attention to detail and the follow up.

Pavers to enlarge our patio, river rock with rainbow cobble accent, and a nice stepping stone pathway from back yard to front. Beautiful yard and we are loving it. Scott knew what we wanted and Moses and his crew made it happen. GT gets an unqualified 5 stars from us.

Working with Green Thumb has been phenomenal. Johnny was super responsive and very helpful in planning the project, and showed up and gave me a quote about a day after I called. I reached out to 4 different "reputable" companies, 3 returned my call, 2 showed up, and only 1 followed through. That was Green Thumb. I researched the cost of materials and their costs were spot on. Aaron from their irrigation division ran the project with their crew and the work was awesome. I can't say enough about this Green Thumb, Johnny, and Aaron. Hands down the best landscaping company in the Salem area.

Green Thumb Landscaping handles the landscaping at the community where I reside. Recently I noticed that the crew was leaving a neighbors front entry mat all askew with the leaf blowers. An elderly couple resides in that unit and a trip over a mat could be serious. The first time I noticed the trip hazard (11/8/18) I took a picture, fixed the mat and notified the property manager who reached out to Johnny. On 11/29/2018 the mat was left askew again and again I straightened the mat. Afterwards I emailed the owner of Green Thumb Landscaping, Scott told me the issue would be addressed. Well this morning after the landscape crew was blowing leaves the mat was askew again. Hopefully someone does not have to get hurt before this is addressed. There is no excuse for leaving a trip hazard regardless if the tenant is 25 or 85 years old.
I have lived here for three years and have had no issues with Green Thumb, the crew is always courteous. A disclosure, I was employed by the construction company owned by Green Thumb, the owner and I had a falling out. I consider that water under the bridge, this review has nothing to do with my employment and is written solely out of concern.
