Hablo Tacos, Bend OR

Giving three stars because up until our most recent visit this was one of our favorite spots. Otherwise we would give less.
Usually the service is fast and the food is absolutely delicious. However, we visited today and it took 30 minutes for 2 cold tacos to be delivered to our table. When they were delivered, they were about half the size of what they usually are.
Hopefully this was just fluke, but we ordered 5 total tacos and they were all cold. Might give it another shot because we usually love it here but they are on THIN ICE!
Also, Hablo is spendy, but we are typically okay with it because the tacos are good. Spending $80 for 5 colds tacos, some chips and salsa, a taco bowl, and 4 beers hurts.

The service and atmosphere are great, but the food was lacking in the flavor department. It wasn't terrible quality, just a bit bland.

Update 10/2023. Still new and awesome. The enclosed outdoor area is great and just warm enough during cold times to wear a light jacket.

Very cool spot that is family friendly with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Tacos have fun flair and are fresh made. Nice selection of margaritas and authentic mixed drinks. Mexican beers. Food was great and perhaps a new favorite. Service was fast and friendly. Plan to wait in line for food, but it goes fast. Centrally located with other restaurants and treats.

The food is top notch. It is counter service so this isn’t fine dining. Tables are out in a noisy common area so conversation over dinner is more difficult. The flavors are well balanced and the menu is creative.

It is always so busy that we have never sat down in the restaurant to eat, just ordered online for pick up. We’ve had a solid handful of things and so far everything has been good, the vampiros and the burrito bowl were by far our favorites and the rock fish is incredible!

Absolutely delicious and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great food.

Ordered tacos & margaritas. The margaritas came out within a few minutes, and were okay - very bland tasting, with no discernible lime or any sweetener.
The big problem was that it took 45 minutes to get 3 simple tacos. Call in orders seemed to be getting all the kitchens attention.
When they finally arrived, the tacos were really delicious, but we won’t be back.

I absolutely love it here! The food is delicious and affordable. The staff is so kind! Plenty of seating and easily accessible. 10/10 Will be going here again, Often!

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Bend. The Barbacoa Vampiros, queso dip, and rice and beans were amazing.

Dang I’m going to have stop coming here. I’m not paying for a health and wellness tax to cover you’re employees insurance. How do we know the money is not going to the business or that the employees are double covered by the state too. We already pay those for them. If you choose to offer that that’s on you’re business. Pretty lame.

I came here a lot when they first opened. Their sweet potato tacos were the absolute best! Unfortunately, I haven't been back since they removed them from the menu. Please bring back the sweet potato tacos!

I got the bowl and probably should've gotten tacos instead. Food was ok, not great. We both ordered a bowl and both of them BARELY had any meat on it. I might've had 4 pieces in my bowl and she had the same and ordered only veggies. Cheapin out on meat is one thing, cheapin on veggies is pretty ridiculous. Was hoping this place was gonna be amazing cause it looks so cool and patio is set up nice, but it was mostly all show. Not the worst I've been to, but not the best. Stick with the tacos if you go here.
