4Very old. Snow was not old. Not new. Mushroom! And the teee sprocket “cometh thy youngin I have a teaching” I didn’t believe it and promptly left feeling sick. Great place for a short hike!
Hackleman is a little out of the way of things, but an absolutely must-see for a short hike if you're in the area! The stroll is well-maintained and will take you just over a fifteen minutes. The old-growth forest of Doug Firs and Cedars is just magical and beyond words. Sadly, Hackleman is one of the last ones left after the ravenous fires destroyed many of the other old-growth forests in 2020. This will make you appreciate the magic of these old trees!
A little rainy but very nice park. Easy walk. Definitely should stop and stretch your legs.
Was there yesterday, oct 2022.the trail itself was closed due to damage. I went anyways and it is definitely damaged.it's very doable, unless you are in a wheelchair, (it is WC accessible). Nice stop, hope they fix this trail soon as there were a number of huge old growth trees.the trailhead has a toilet and it is not remote.
