Terrarium building class didn't fit my schedule. Plus, I already had glass. So they set me up with the succulents to have an in home tettarium building date with the wife and create my own!

I can't express enough my appreciation towards Janelle - Hammer & Vine. I'm the typical I can see and appreciate what looks good, but to put a concept together and in this case keep alive here in lies my struggle. That said Janelle swoops right in with great creativity to assist with home purchases along with my Commercial space layout. Great work and my go to Flora decor shop!

I ordered this Maranta lemon lime a few months ago from hammer + vine. I was nervous about buying a plant without seeing it, but WOW it was so healthy and beautiful! At time of purchase, it had about four mature leaves and a couple yet to unfurl. It has been growing vigorously since, with fresh new leaves and even a few cute little flowers. High quality, healthy plants!

The ladies who helped me were kind and welcoming. They gave me plenty of good advice when I asked for help and it’s clear all of the plants are well cared for and loved. One of their little ones even gave me a tip for fitting my plant in a pot (so adorable!) Not to mention the prices are great, especially for a spot so close to the heart of downtown. If you like plants, check them out!

I really wanted to hit up a local nursery for a new plant today, but I just had no time. I ended up looking for an online shop and omg I'm so glad I did. The plants were delivered the same day (I may have gotten lucky, since it looks like they have specific days they deliver) and they were in excellent condition. I honestly can't wait to order again. Shipping was affordable, the plants were affordable, delivery went great!

Hammer and Vine is incredible! Giving a plant as a gift is often a go to, fail safe option for me and they make it so easy! They always have a lovely selection of various sized house plants and beautiful pots to go with AND they pot it for you. Jenelle is always super responsive and has more than once given me a heads up that I ordered a pot too big or too small for the plant I chose! She's awesome. The home delivery just makes it that much more convenient and accessible especially in COVID times. Thanks Hammer and Vine!

Hammer+Vine is my favorite shop in Portland! I’m a Minneapolis transplant and moved to a portland July 2019. I currently live down the street from the shop on West Burnside.
I’ve purchased 10 plants/ potters from Hammer+Vine and LOVE everything they provide to customers. The variety of green friends, in addition to potting options is lovely. I appreciate the creativity within the shop. The owner is wonderful, staff was equally remarkable when previously open.

I moved here in July, along with my green babies, after having to separate from my Sweetie due to Covid-19.
I saw this beautiful little plant shop, as I was discovering my new neighborhood, but it was always closed each time I was out.
I decided to go online, & take a chance, and ordered online (something I don't do with my green babies). It has been almost 4 months since that first order. I have absolutely no regrets with the plants I get, but the customer service that I always get is phenomenal, and that is the reason that they'll have my business for as long as I'm living here. Each & every time that I pick up my new baby, they always take the time to give me clear info as to care and light placement.
Thank you so much for all your staff does to keep me sane, during this difficult year.
We will definitely need a bigger place once we're able to be together again. I'm at 156 babies, and loving the joy each one brings me.

Ordered plants for delivery and was surprised by how quickly the plants arrived! Although the plants were in pretty good shape I do not believe I would order from them again due to the plants having spider mites which is not a huge deal but I would expect better from a local plant shop.

Hammer+vine sells amazing plants! Each one I’ve gotten has been stunning and equivalent to the photos online (‘rona closures). I was really impressed when I had an order dropped off while I was at work. Their staff went above and beyond to text me about the best place to leave the plant and hid it outside my building where I asked:)

I love hammer + vine. It’s my go-to local plant store. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful, they always take the time to answer my questions! Noah helped me with info on the right potting soil for my plants and even potted the hoya and rhipsalis in the planters I bought from h+v before it was sent out for delivery. They also consolidated a second purchase of Plant Elixir fertilizer into the delivery so it all got here at the same time! Thanks so much, noah!

The order was delivered with care and a successful contactless delivery (this is July 26th 2020), and the driver waited across the porch to answer any questions and to make sure I got everything I ordered. I super appreciate hammer + vine and how much genuine care and attention the staff put into their work. Pretty amazing experience going in recently after moving to Portland. I was admittedly lost with what to buy for my new home but the woman Jess was absolutely delightful. She took the time to direct me right within what would be perfect for my home. Thanks again for a great experience!

Our local plant shop is pretty fantastic! We stopped in on a whim and fell in love. It's quaint but full of life and personality. All questions we had were answered with great knowledge and direction. Thank you for the welcoming attitude. We will be back!

Every single plant I've bought here is thriving. Every single store person I've encountered here is helpful and knowledgeable. Like many othe reviews here, I think the plants here are heartier and healthier than most plant stores in town. I've gotten some incredible snake plants, jade plants, euphorbias, succulents, and philodendrons here.

Great prices for beautiful plants and flowers. Best part was the quirky shop space and getting easy advice from the staff

I came here on a whim a few months ago while visiting Portland, and I’m so happy I did! They. Have a gorgeous little store with a wide selection of houseplants. The sansevieria I got is thriving, as is the string of pearls. They were knowledgeable, and even the patrons I met there were kind and knowledgeable too!
(Don’t mind the shriveled bit, traveling with plants comes with some risks lol)

By far the best plant shop in Portland. The staff are so exited about their work, and are happy to help and refer you to other places if you don't find what you need.
The plants are some of the healthiest I've found in any plant shop, and none of them are left to neglect.
Also, they have those cute "mid-century modern" planters, but theirs actually have drain holes! Finally people who understand plant lovers just as much as they understand plants!
I am so glad I found this little gem hiding on Burnside. It may seem like an inconvenient location, but it is worth any trip, or hunt for parking.
