Hana Japanese Bistro reviews
19We either order from or eat at Hana once a week, it’s definitely our favorite sushi in the neighborhood and everyone that works there is attentive and kind. We love to order out or sit at the bar and share the Alberta box and some sake. Highly recommend
The food was so delicious with beautiful presentation. Our server, Carly, was clearly in the middle of a big rush, yet remained attentive and gracious under pressure. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely stellar sushi! Great prices. Service was a little slow considering they weren't busy and the restaurant was uncomfortably warm, but that wouldn't deter us from coming back for some delicious food!
I tried to get a table at Zilla down the street and they were rude but I’m really happy how it turned out because Hana was so so good. The service is great, the sushi chefs are legit, the fish melts in your mouth, there’s a wonderful sake selection and the price is reasonable. If you’re deciding between places on Alberta go here!
Comfortable, friendly spot with great service. Good selection of sushi and sake. The sweet chili edamame is fantastic, if you like a little spice.
The food was amazing and chef Jesse prepared some amazing sushi. I also really enjoyed the salmon skin salad.
Great sushi
Good saki
Stopped by one afternoon, have not found a great sushi bar till we stopped here.
This place is fresh and top rate.
The presentation is a work or art! And the Sushi- UH mazing! Super friendly staff and atmosphere is welcoming. We will be back!
Overall a good experience. The sushi is really fresh. I can see the dedication when the waiter came back and told me the otoro I ordered was not available due to the chef saying the sushi was not good enough. That really stand out to me. I would definitely come back again!
Sat at the sushi bar and ordered the Omakaze box, an amazing spread of the chef's choice. Everything was so delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Priced very reasonably with good portions. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
Excellent sushi and amazing people working here! The chefs recommendations were absolutely incredible and everything we ate was spectacular. Had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to anyone who loves good sushi. Shout out chefs Jessie and Nick! Keep crushing it!
Great quality fish and Chef Jesse and Nick were great! Above and beyond in listening to the customer. First time there and felt like a VIP!
Favorite place to get sushi anytime I visit Portland. Only spent $100+/person because I was solo and hadn't eaten yet for the entire day. Otherwise with friends it would've been much lower per person.
This place overcooked my food it tasted burnt, bitter. They took my plate and said that they tasted the food on it and that it tasted fine! Who does that? ! They did not want to remove the charge for the returned plate but finally did.
Very relaxing spot with great classic Japanese dishes. Great beers in selection, and agedashi tofu was amazing. Sushi is also great!
Sushi: as fresh as you can get. And the Korean Chicken Karaage is my new favorite fried chicken! All taste; not grease. Nick was a super host!
My daughter made me promise to leave a 5 star review because it was BOMB. Our server was incredible as well! He had killer recs, and was so on top of service, he noticed before we did when our kiddo dropped one of her chopsticks.
So basically incredibly killer service, and wildly fresh and delicious sushi!
And look at that boat- how beautiful is that?
The food is exceptional! I come here for lunch all the time and the service is always great. Thanks Sean!
