Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Hillsboro OR

Tried to do a spa day for my wife. The facial was good but the massage went bad. Paid for a hot stones but the guy didn't try and she came out more stressed then she went in.

I've had some great massages and a few mediocre ones here. Currently, Joanna is amazing! One of the best massages of my life yesterday. Firm, but not painful. Amazing!

Great service. Very relaxing. All massages are amazing, regardless of who does it, and what kind massages you get. Facials are also amazing. Been going for years

The receptionists, the reception area and the massage room itself were all great. No issues. However the massage therapist I had was awful. She asked me one question (if I had any issues I wanted to focus on) and then she did not speak to me again until she realized I was still wearing leggings (personal preference) and then was rude about "already having oil on her hands so what would I like done instead? ". Bonus - she had long finger nails so her working on my neck hurt. Would never go back.

I had an amazing massage by Marcia! It was my first massage ever and she made me feel comfortable. Additionally, I felt like Hand & Stone did a good job of preventing COVID-19 contamination to the best of their ability. And it wasn't so bad having a mask on during my massage!

Just Ok. Staff were all very awkward. Went in for a facial and it was pretty relaxing until she stabbed me in the face without warning. She also barely spoke and seemed annoyed that I was there. I will continue my hunt for a proper spa In Hillsboro.

My wife and I were given a gift certificate for a couples massage. We are frequent cruisers on Princess Cruises and we get 3 to 5 massages while on a cruise. Our experience at Hand and Stone was disappointing. Both therapists were professional and polite, but the massages were less than competent from our cruising experience. We'll give them another try sometime in the future. Perhaps we'll have to be more explicit as to pressure and areas needing massaging. We thought we explained our desires adequately, but the resulting massages were less than satisfactory.

Absolute Waste, Unprofessional, Uncommitted

I went for massage last week and booked in advance. Reaching there on sharp time was communicated that I need to do some paper work so it will be taken off my massage time. I agreed to it, later it was another issue with Massage where we booked for couples massage and was told Jessie and Dale would take care of us, which turned out both were males, my wife wasn't comfortable and cancelled her appointment.to which they changed the rules and charged us 50% of massage fee, which was communicated as 30% earlier. And she told that I was informed both massage therapists were males, which was a surprise for me.
The woe didn't end here. After all forms filling, formalities she went ahead and told me to wait as therapist would be preparing the room - I mean how much time you gonna give me 30 mins in an hour? The massage was not at all relaxing. I mentioned that I had a bad lower back pain and needed a deep massage, but therapist didn't bother and keep on insisting that you lost your time in process. No customer service whatsoever. All looked like a sham to to me. I am never going there again. Thank you!

I am better off searching for another decent place who don't rip off their customers in name of massage.

PS: It's all glittery outside, in actual this is not massage, it's more like touch and go.make your money count, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I was 100% satisfied with my facial & hot stone massage. It was such a wonderful experience I signed up for a monthly massage & cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend this for stress relief & relaxation. It would be a wonderful gift for any of your loved ones

Melissa is so sweet and gives the best facials, I go to her every 3 weeks and she does a great job everytime!

Not to good.
You think you could get some nice Ambience, I was put into a couples room and it felt like a doctors office. She asked me what I want out of the massage and areas to concentrate on. I told her my lower back and left thigh hurt and to work on those. I then got on the table where she told me to lay on my stomach. I stated that I'll have to turn over later in the massage to get to all areas. She responded with usually she does it all on my stomach.
She worked on my back first, uncovering only half my back, she then proceeded to the other side of my back. I told her I was to hot and to take the blanket off my back which she did. When she switched to doing my arms she covered me back up again and made me uncomfortable.
She then worked on my legs, going up past my knee just a little bit. She did both legs and then said it was over to my surprise. I had no sense of time and was waiting to turn over to work on my thighs which were never touched.
I don't know how a professional can be so uptight giving a massage and fail to do what was talked about and expected. Even though it has been quite a few years I always remember feeling good after a massage, not this one. My friends were surprised she didn't do my thighs and that she didn't turn me over.

I went there after checking the reviews, but I wish I didn’t trust the reviews. I went there with my mom, and they said gave me promotional price for 1st time customers. Guess what later they charged us both the regular price. They said because I requested sensitive skin products, and for my mom they said because she never had face cleaning before. During the session I was asked if I’m ok with pimple distractions since I had few on the left side of my face. I said yes, thinking she would use a machine as I was used in California (where I used to regularly go to one of the best skin care centers). I was surprised that she used her bare fingers. I should have asked her not to do it, but while she was doing it I was just telling myself that this will be my last visit to this place. Guess what after many months and I still have the 3 small marks on my face. And after my visit I decided not to go to any place in OR. Because I simply can’t trust the ranting anymore, not sure if they are fake or I was the unlucky one to get non professional to do my facial cleaning.

This review is lower than I would normally give, not because the massage wasn't excellent, but due to the business practice I was subjected to at their front desk. I've been to this location many times and everything has gone smoothly. And I've always requested "deep tissue" massages from the LMTs there. But on my last visit the front desk tried to jack me up for an extra ten dollars for a deep-tissue massage. This has never happened before, so I can only assume it's a new practice. I always tip well, and don't appreciate being nickeled & dimed after the massage.

I've been consistently disappointed with my massages here. The facial was good tho. If you want a Hand and Stone location go to the one in NW Portland, they are absolutely incredible

Being my first time, I was nervous to choose a therapist preference (Hillsboro location). I wanted to make sure my massage felt firm and simply amazing. I highly recommend Laurel! She listened to my requests and made me feel so relaxed and stress free. If you want a firm massage, triggering your knots and loosening your muscles, Laurel!

This place is amazing specially the staff. I made my first maasage apppointment last week due to acute pain to my left mid- back. Wow! Just wow! I left the place feeling amazing, relaxed, and pain free. I decided to become a member that evening and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Love Hillsboro (Cornelius Pass Rd) Hand and Stone! A calm relaxing atmosphere for the same price as their competitors, but with larger rooms, & extremely professional staff. Highly recommend!

Front desk was super friendly, not sure I loved my massage. It was one where you come out saying it wasn't bad (I mean it's a massage) but it wasn't my favorite. I would try again and see about a different massage therapist!
