Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics reviews
11 I have been a client here twice. Both times they screwed up the insurance authorization. They lost the prescription for the back brace and made it my job to get a new one. I had to pay out of pocket for orthotics after they informed me that they were covered. I never received an invoice, then 7 months later I am getting calls that the bill was not paid. I cannot pay a bill I never received.
THe office is a disaster. Do not use this clinic.
The clinicians were fine, but the office does not care about making sure you know whether the equipment is going to come out of pocket.
Absolutely wonderful clinic! I have been coming here for several years. Everyone is professional and treats each person with such kindness. Christina is a wonderful orthotist who is always there to get whatever device you need, to fit properly. I never feel rushed out the door. I definitely recommend this business.
Needed a walking boot after ankle surgery.
It needed to be special ordered. The clinician I worked with was amazing.
I had AFO’s (leg braces) made here once. I let the lady who made them know that they were stiff and I felt like I would fall on my face and she just told me that I would get use to them. Mind you I’ve had leg braces 10 + years before coming here so I know for a fact that if they don’t feel right, then they’re not right. She didn’t care much to help make any changes, Insurance paid for them and they are still sitting in my closet.
The clinic staffs are very friendly.
Mr. Garth takes care of his patients very well, I had feet problems for many many years, Mr. Garth did an excellent job for my orthopedic insoles.
Thank you so much!
Trying again today to follow up on a referral sent by our pediatrician. Like yesterday, they keep customers on hold for a long time. Try as as we might, they are not able to locate our referral. My doc has sent this and received a confirmation. Just really bad service and a hassle. I've been on hold now for nine minutes and counting.
Unfortunately, the female front desk reception was extremely rude. So, my first encounter after walking into this business wasn't pleasant. Listening to the way she talked to and dealt with customers in person and over the phone was gut wrenching.
Perhaps there should be an employee for phone calls and another for walk in customers to reduce the possible stress that the receptionist may incur.
The young gentleman that helped me with my wrist wraps was pleasant, but didn't seem that knowledgeable.
The front desk staff is super rude and sometimes clueless to what is going on. Talk to patients like their idiots at time. Honestly I should have canceled all my appointments and gone elsewhere.
The person who answered the phone was awful. She had ‘no idea what I was talking about’ when I accidentally mispronounced a word, and continued to mispronounce every word and name I gave her (and spelled for her). If you don’t have medical training, you MUST insist on your doctor calling for you, otherwise you hang up the phone feeling challenged and exhausted.
This is an excellent place and the technicians are very good. They are very flexible as well with the appointments. Some people have posted that the front desk ladies are very rude but in my experience they were quite helpful and polite.
You are right about the front desk. But once you get past their indifference, the technicians inside are great.
