Haven Coffee Co. reviews
13 The pastries are good.the coffee is pretty good. Neat ambiance but the staff isn’t great. Not sure if everyone behind the counter was having an off day or what but If I want pretentious baristas I’ll go downtown.
Hell, the decaf is even some of the best I’ve had in the metro area. I’d love to be greeted by cheerier staff the next time I stop by for Haven.
I just moved to Beaverton from Milwaukie and had been disappointed at the local coffee shops on this side town until I found this place. This is easily the best coffee I have found out on the westside of the Portland metro area. Delicious
This is my favorite coffee shop in this area. The coffee is great, the selection of vegan pastries is amazing, and all of the staff are fantastic.
Nice little coffee shop. A little hard to get in and out of, but my goodies were tasty. I'll be back.
Coffe is good but it took forever to get a simple americano and the people that ordered after me were getting their drinks
Also the person pulling the shots was not the epitome of customer service when I asked if my drink was being prepared
Not sure what is going on with Haven, but it seems to be changed post covid. It's now setup as essentially a to go ordering experience, and the newer staff are far less personable and it shows im the ordering experience.
The big drawback is that they switched the house beans they use for espresso drinks. While a unique flavor it's very distinct and not a good and versatile roast to use in every form of drink. It's a huge step down from the sleepy monk beans that were being used prior.
Having only discovered Haven about 2 years ago, it feels like I missed this shop's prime. The photos you see of a coffee house with seating style, pastries and that local feel have not been the case these last few years and they claim a remodel is the culprit, however that has been the claim for the entirety I've been visiting there.
Highly recommended to the owners to switch the beans back to sleepy monk or at least use a more neutral or espresso enhancing roast from the roaster you now use. At this point, for me, it's only a place I come to pickup the sleepy monk beans and brew at home.
More importantly the staff need to realize they are the face of the experience. Right now the scowls and the lack customer service really take away from it all. With all of the glowing reviews I'm wondering if I somehow have just gotten that unlucky with the service and drink quality my last 4 visits?
Great coffee and staff. Noticed that they have expanded the coffee shop too. Easy going and relaxed place to hang out.
Hands down my favorite place to grab chai! They have a few great gluten free options. Their team is so friendly the owners are wonderful. Love Haven soooo much!
I LOVE this place they made my traditional cappuccino with heavy cream amazing! I am from LA, CA I will be back
One of the best Portland metro coffee shops. Consistent high quality drinks without a price markup to match and nearly never a line. Parking can occasionally be less than ideal, but it's undoubtedly worth it.
A good rotation of single origins coupled with a solid base drink menu provides able reason to return whether you are a latte or straight espresso drinker. Strongly suggest the 20oz Dirty Portland Fog.
Dude with the beard here is way more interested in talking to his female coworkers than keeping things moving for the customers. Ten of us watched in amazement as he wasted countless minutes flirting obliviously
This coffee spot serves a great brew! The staff is always friendly and wonderful to chat with. After searching high and low for a dope coffee shop, I finally found one. It’s minimal, noise level is moderate, and the open floor plan gives you a spacious place to work/chill. The seasonal coffees are the best and you can tell that the baristas don’t half a** making you a good cup for the sake of time. I hope that Haven expands, especially where there are too many Ava Roasteria’s or Lionheart’s. Those places can’t hold a candle to the flavor profiles offered by Haven.
Keep up the great work everyone and many thanks to your suppliers for their hard work as well!
Mayan mocha was ok
Bagels were decent
Could have more food options like croissants or something
Love the ambience, could add more chairs for seating inside though
