Hawthorne Tile

Dirk and his team are amazing. Our shower pan (completed 15 years ago by another contractor) leaked when I was 38 weeks pregnant. He went above and beyond to accommodate our situation as quickly as possible, working around his schedule and even calling a plumber for us when additional work was needed. He was incredibly responsive, and his workers did beautiful work and were clean and considerate. We can’t thank them enough and would highly recommend them!

Hawthorne Tile installed our glass shower tile a few years ago. They made suggestions for shower niche placement, and helped steer us towards a more period correct tile layout, which I’m grateful for. They did an excellent job with installation and took time too do it correctly. I wish they still worked directly with residential clients so they could do our next bathroom shower!

We have used Hawthorne tile twice, both times to help us remodel bathrooms. Dirk Sullivan consulted with us to start the project and guided us to good decisions about which floor and wall tile to choose and perfecting our design ideas and layout. Then Vlad and Josh did an exceptional installation, prepped the shower stall in a new configuration with center drain and built a shower nook for soap and shampoo. Then completed all the tile work expertly with lots of attention to detail. They really know their craft and are highly skilled. Best of all, they are all really nice people to associate with. We enjoyed having them around during the process.

I really cannot say enough good things about Dirk and his team at Hawthorne. First off, they're easy to work with - prompt, courteous, neat. Secondly they are craftspeople - they perform their craft at a level of skill that for me is unparalleled. Thirdly, I really like them - I felt like there were family members working on their own home.

Dirk expertly guided us through the options for getting the remodel done in a manner that would not only look good but also meet the exacting and challenging standards of our Architectural Review Committee. We are very pleased with the results and very highly recommend Hawthorne Tile.

Hawthorne Tile came to our aid when we had a leak in our shower. Dirk Sullivan came to our house, gave a us a complete assessment of our problem and then assisted us in doing a complete rebuild. He was honest, very knowledgeable about all aspects of tiling and his team did high quality work, with limited incursion on our daily household routines. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Hawthorne Tile was absolutely phenomenal when it came to our shower build. Dirk spent a lot of time helping us to diagnose the problem, and when it became clear we needed to fully deconstruct and rebuild he did the extra work to connect us with multiple other companies. Once into construction Bo was absolutely fantastic and willing to flex with all of the issues in our 1907 house. The end result is easily the most beautiful thing in our house.

Hawthorne Tile is absolutely first-class all the way. From the pre-job interactions with Travis to the exemplary on-site work by Bo and Jesus, I cannot recommend Hawthorne Tile more highly. Bo and Jesus treated the job - retiling our fireplace hearth - as if it were there own home. Jesus was still in apprenticeship mode and Bo was a methodical and patient teacher. They communicated really well along the way to keep me abreast of progress. There was a potential issue with the tile we purchased (stain on tile from corregated cardboard between each tile; not from Hawthorne Tile) and they worked quickly with the tile retailer to fix the issue *that* day. The job also included removing the existing tile and rebuilding the substrate, which they did to perfection. Bo and Jesus are master craftsmen and a pleasure to work with! Hawthorne Tile did a fantastic job installing a rather complicated herringbone tile backsplash at my home. They were professional, prompt and easy to work with. I Highly recommend Hawthorne Tile!

I had a wonderful experience with Hawthorne Tile. I knew I wanted some statement handmade tile that would be the focal point of our new kitchen. Travis helped guide us towards a local studio - Tempest Tileworks - and helped us design a one-of-a-kind backsplash with colors from two lines of tile produced on one base. Installation was quick and the tilers were extremely professional and skilled. Our backsplash is the star of our kitchen and I am so glad we went with Hawthorne Tile. I cannot recommend them, and Travis specifically, enough!
