Heart Coffee (Burnside), Portland OR

I’ve had the best espresso shot of my life here but a couple mediocre ones too lately.

I bought coffee beans, and the sample coffee they gave me is so delicious and nice.

The coffee here is absolutely delicious, and even though it's brewed by a machine, they dial it in so well every day! The pastries seem to be from the local Farina bakery which is a fantastic choice. I was surprised they didn't have wifi available. Is that to minimize the time customers spend or is it simply a cost cutting measure? The barista was apologetic about it and suggested I use a hotspot on my phone. I'll come back for coffee beans but not to dine in.

I always enjoy Heart's distinctive coffees. They are some of the most complex and nuanced flavors one finds, even in such a great coffee town. Consistently excellent.
