Really great experience with this company. I've moved around quite a bit so I've had experience with quite a few different garbage companies and not all of the experiences have been great. I've even had other companies completely skip picking up my trash! Then had to wait two weeks for them to come back. But with Heiberg I've had a great experience. They've always been timely with pickups. Great customer service too, I had to call with questions and they've always been friendly and helpful. 5 stars from me for sure.

Because of the way they pick up garbage, it does not empty properly and the staff are unresponsive in correcting the problem in a reasonable way. They expected me to go out to the grocery store or hardware store in the middle of the Covid pandemic to buy lawn bags so they could do a proper pickup.

Very classy locally earned business that has gone above and beyond in their services. I called and talked to a lovely man named Joe who promised to help with my garbage/recycling issue, and exceeded all expectations. If I moved out of their district I’d do my all to get them to continue the A+ work!

I have contacted this company three times over a six year period. Each time I have received the best customer service. The woman who answers the phone is professional and helpful and has taken care of my issues quickly-once I forgot to put my garbage out and they came the next day and picked it up, once I requested a new garbage container and the third time I wanted to downsize my yard container - both issues taken care of immediately and correctly. I think they are the absolute best.

Called recently and was pleasantly surprised by their outstanding customer service, they were very polite on the phone and fixed my issue right away.

Used Hieberg Garbage to Rent a container for a bathroom renovation project, it arrived right on time and was the perfect size. Renovation lasted longer then expected and they were very flexible with us. When we finished up the container was on it way the next day. Very professional i will be renting from them again.

They wake us up every week driving up at 5-6am. They routinely don't take our garbage for no known reason despite us leaving it on the curb in plain sight. We get garbage picked up every other week, which is a long time to wait with an already small garbage can filled with trash.

I think rude and discourteous fit what Heiberg brings to the table. The owner equated his unprofessional work to “hobos” causing a mess. How about the owner get some professional employees who don’t leave a mess behind after picking up my trash and glass? Is that too hard to ask? Grow up!

I came out to my parked car this afternoon to find it had been hit by one of the Heiberg garbage trucks. Thankfully the driver left information to contact the company, but when I did the receptionist was rude and gave me a runaround instead of simply answering my questions. I've since received better service from other staff but this process has been way more difficult than it should have been.

What an amazing difference a trash company can make. We were using Waste Management as a commercial customer. The contracts, customer service, was terrible. Monthly I was having to call, because the driver had some excuse to not show up. The bill had no problem coming though!

I called and spoke to Jesse at Heiberg. She was amazing. I discovered they were a family business also. (Which matters to me) Jesse set us up at half the price of Waste Management & what Arrow Waste services bid us at. Without the slippery contracts the other guys make you sign. (And force you to auto renew) No container "rental", "drop off", or "pick up" fees. No hidden fuel surcharge fees. Just straight pricing. Which is gold to a small business owner. I would recommend any business owner to give them a call FIRST!

Tried to call for our new program and the lady who answered said the person who could help me was too busy today to take my call, and to leave a message but she would be too busy to listen to my mesage. So I said no thank you to their business.

Constantly (loudly) up and down my street from 4a-6a on thursdays. Our pickup day is Wed and they do not even use the street that much then. Completely inconsiderate!

They always take care of us. The haters are very likely people that communicate by yelling and swearing. Good people.

Lazy, no customer service having garbage people. I'd call them garbage men but men there not. Lazy they are! If for some reason you forget to put you garbage not facing the rite way they will just add t leave it. I repeat lazy and no costumer service!

We miss Cloudburst! Heidberg has horrible customer service. They don't come in the snow or days after snow and have the nerve to argue about what cans were placed out and which ones weren't. I bring my cans down a day early because my family is elderly, and I definitely make sure it's BEFORE our scheduled day. They charge for weeks where they clearly missed and yet we see them up the street a couple blocks over picking up everyone else's garbage. Not reliable and willing to rip you off. The Irvington area needs a new garbage & recycling pickup.

I know the weather has been difficult but you have been really bad at communicating your plans. Tired of dragging cans in and out because you do not communicate until AFTER we are supposed to have the cans out. You suck.

It's going on 3 weeks since our last recycling pickup. I know you're backlogged but PLEASE come get our recycling before it all blows into the street.

Usually very good, but they have no plan for snowy weather! This is something relatively new for PDX! My brother was a garbage-man in Portland for years & he could never use the weather as an excuse to not pick up peoples garbage! Also they charge us for weeks they don't show up! They tell us we can put out extra cans; but most of us do not have extra cans.

Run by nepotism, managed by last century. Be kind to your trash collector, they have an incredibly unreasonable and exploitative boss. The employees deserve 5 stars.unfortunately the mentality and practices of management preclude a 5 star rating. Full disclosure, I was terminated from this company because they learned of my plans to leave.

Love working with Heiberg Garbage. They are very easy to work with and have made special garbage disposal pickups (like Christmas tree recycling) extremely easy. 5/5 would recommend!
