3 I was utilizing the Helfrich Boat landing while gathering footage of rafters floating the Mckenzie River.
The location is very convenient & has fairly easy access. This is a popular boat landing for drift boats, whitewater rafters & tube/ miscellaneous recreational activities. A common practice is to stage a vehicle downstream and launch the desired distance upstream, so at some locations, parking along the highway is a necessity.
Husband's company out together an employee and family outing rafting down the McKenzie River so him and I signed up which happened to also be out 11yr. Anniversary. It was a ton of fun and a new experience for both of us. Definitely want to do it again.
We stopped for a picnic lunch, Saturday on Memorial weekend. Had a nice quiet spot in the sun out of the wind. We were there for about an hour and it was perfect. Not a lot boats on water while we were there, probably was time of day. A great rest spot if the traffic on H 126 gets to be too much.
