Hillsboro Shoe Repair reviews
15High quality work at a very reasonable price! I had them replace the heals on my cowboy boots and they did an excellent job! I will be coming back here for all my shoe repair work!
I've been a customer for years because I know I'll always get great service & work on my shoes.
I got my Thorogood boots re-soled here, less than $100! Great value. Good service, good craftsmanship.
I very much appreciate the work done here. I love not having to buy new shoes when my old ones (that are completely comfortable) can be repaired. The shoes I have had repaired over the past 17 years are still wearable and in good condition.
Exceptional service, needed help for a client with dementia and even laced the new shoes him! Great and so helpful!
One of Hillsboro's hidden gems. Very nice people who run an 'old school' shoe repair shop. My favorite work boots are useable once again.
Good work at a good price. They put heel savers on my boots while I waited and only wanted to charge me five dollars.
I had several pairs of leather shoes repaired here that my then lab puppy had used as chew toys.lol. Fabulous matching work and repair. A little pricey sure, but they are a Mom and Pop store and I'm happy to to pay it so they stick around! They are super friendly and accommodating! They receive my business for all shoe and zipper related items.
TBD, the attendant suggested a repair other than what I asked for, I corrected her and will see the results when I pick up the shoes on the 4th.
Repairs here are beautifully done and the service is fairly quick at 3 or 4 days. If you spend money on good shoes, this is an excellent choice!
I took a pair of my Diesel leather boot shoes in to replace a bad zipper with a more durable one on one of boots.
Well, the work was so good, I had them replace the zipper on the other boot as well even though there was no problem with it. These were curved zippers. Very hard to work with.
I am very impressed with the excellent work.
The couple that owns this place is very nice. But, I don’t think the quality of their work matches the price.
I used to go to a place in Beaverton, but the guy that owned the place retired. I decided to try this place out to fix some shoes. I got the same thing done on this pair of shoes. The ‘leather’ look occasional rubs off. At the other place I used to go to he charged me $20 for changing the outside polish of the shoe heel (That was 2 years ago, so a slight elevation in price is to be expected). Meaning, he took off the material and put a newer material on to make it look nicer. At least, that’s how i understood it. So, in the end my shoes looked like new. Because I’ve had these shoes for years, I had to get the same thing done on the same pair of shoes. At Hillsboro Shoe repair it looks like they just painted over the spots that were losing color and charged me $40. That is double the price for about half the quality in comparison to the other place. I’m pretty disappointed. The service wasn’t anything special either. There was some confusion with when my shoes were supposed to be ready. When I called them that day, they said they were ready. But, when I arrived at the location they said that it’s supposed to be the following week. I think that was more of an issue related to miscommunication. They are nice people but the quality of the work, in comparison to experiences I’ve had in the past, was not worth it. I won’t be coming back and I would not recommend this place to others.
Took a pair of brand new pair of leather shoes here to get stretched out because they were small. This shop was able to get the job done in the time they stated! Would highly recommend them!
I've had two different pairs of red wing boots resoled here several times. Excellent quality, quick turnaround and cheaper than both red wing and other cobblers i have used.
Had one of my birkenstock heels chewed up by a dog and I was unsure if it was even repairable. After picking them up (a few weeks ago) I was pleasantly surprised with the job they'd done. They filled the hole in the cork and resoled part of the bottom. The damage is barely noticeable but I am a little worried about how long the cork repair will stay intact because it seems to be coming off around the edges. I paid $30 for the one shoe and I feel it was a reasonable price compared to what birkenstok themselves charge. Their hours are hard to work around especially when you have a day job and they aren't open on the weekends, but I managed to make it work.
