Hiro Ramen, Ashland OR

We had wonderful bowl of ramen and the server was an absolute joy. He was so kind and joyful. I'd go back just to have a nice waiter.

A delightfully comforting bowl of ramen.
Had a lite lunch here with my wife and we were both very pleased.

Appetizer: For a starter so we tried their Agedashi tofu. Lightly fried in a rice flour sitting in a tasty sauce. There is a texture journey with the lightly crispy breading, soft tofu, and mochi texture from the sauced breading. It was quite delightful.

Entree: Tonkotsu with pork. It’s exactly what we want in a ramen. Excellent broth with black garlic oil. Well flavored, not too salty or heavy. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the pork belly was superb. The only minor issue I had was that the corn tasted obviously canned.

The service was very fast, attentive, and polite.

If you’re looking for Ramen, this is a great place.

Food was fantastic! The waitress who served us was kind but not attentive. Atmosphere was nice and the interior was clean, the bathrooms could of used a bit of attention.

The *worst* ramen we've ever had, no contest. Ordered the veggie ramen, supposedly made with a seaweed stock broth that was eerily murky brown somehow? Tofu was cold. Bamboo shoots were chewy when they should be tender. The noodles were *clearly* store-bought, clumpy, and uncooked. Carrots were raw. Basically no scallions. And the flavor, overall, was bland at best and lacking any sense of inspiration. Don't forget the sardine-like seating wherein you can hear everyone else's conversations with, often painful, crystalline clarity. It's pretty difficult to mess up ramen (that's why it's the college-age male's food of choice), but if you really want to waste $15 on a bowl of rubbish, check out Hiro's.

Spoiled by Portland and Bay Area Ramen joints so take this review into that consideration. All the ramen dishes have Too much bean sprouts, balance of garnishes not proportional or arranged. Where’s the Nori? Easy man’s Chasu. Karage eh. Tonkatsu Ramen no depth, however this joint will satisfy your ramen craving at a reasonable price. Curry ramen just diluted S&B block ramen… to much bean sprouts. Average joint. Service fast.

Stopping through after long travels and found this awesome little gem! Got the curry and tonksu ramen. Delicious, fresh and came quick. Kids enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, which was a great portion to split between the two of them. Waiter was great! Definitely recommend

One of many fine restaurants in Ashland. We arrived at open, and there were a couple tables filled by the time we were done.
Portion sizes will fill you, so consider sharing if you are visiting.
Children may like the chicken teriyaki if they are unaccustomed to Ramen.

My boyfriend and I love ramen… we got tired of the knock off packaged stuff. Everytime we travel we look for a shop, we live about an 1hr 1/2 from Ashland and this place did not disappoint. We go to Ashland strictly for this place, the food is mighty tasty, the inside is simple and very nicely decorated, the servers are always very polite as well. It’s nice and clean too.

They are really nice here, and our server was very friendly, and helpful. We had the ramen and various appetizers, and they were all tasty. Nice to find a place like this on Ashland.

This place is so quaint and great! Came here with some friends on a trip to Oregon and had the spicy chicken, even now back home, I miss the food I had here. Our server was the nicest and most personable dude and service was amazing! Absolutely go here, nothing beats it.

I went to Hiro Ramen the today,
And let me tell you, it was quite a buffet.
The noodles were fresh, the broth was divine,
It was like a party in my mouth, all the time!

I tried the pork, the chicken, and even the veggie,
And each bowl was like a culinary fantasy.
I'm telling you, if you're ever in town,
Hiro Ramen's the place to go, hands down!

Very friendly staff. Food was enjoyable. Tonkotsu broth was mild but a very nice flavor. Pork was nicely flavored as well.

Great Ramen spot in the heart of Ashland. Both the Pork Tonkotsu and Curry Chicken ramen were AMAZING. So creamy and delicious. The Tako-yaki was spot on as well, loved watching those things dance! Will definitely be going back.

This place dished my favorite curry ramen i looked forward to. The presentation was awesome.not anymore.
Now it's a watery brown soup with the ingredients stuck to the bottom.
