Historic Colton Café reviews
15We were out doing some volunteer work and found Colton Cafe. What a lovely stop for a home cooked meal. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is yummy and the staff are very kind and helpful. I need to eat gluten-free and they were able to accommodate my request. Thank you so much, this made my day!
Probably the best the in the USA! Seriously food is all fresh made and you can taste the quality ingredients.
The vibe in the place is amazing. Small town!
So fresh and so clean.
Will be back for sure and highly recommended! Will give more the five stars if I could!
Thank you Nora for the great breakfast this morning, I really appreciate being able to come in and chat while getting a good meal consistently and being in a great atmosphere, I truly feel that this town has a great community hub in your dinner.
The chicken fried steak was flavorless, dried out and stringy. I gave up trying to enjoy it and only ate a third of it. My wife's Rueben was made with sourdough because they didn't have any rye and it was so short on sauerkraut that some of the sandwich didn't even have any. Maybe this place gets by on its regular customers so they don't want new ones. We sure won't be back.
The service was fantastic, the food was delicious. This is a great place to eat. Tye crispy cheese was perfectly griddled, and the biscuits and gravy were very tasty.
Ordered the CFS and steak and eggs. Had a small hiccup with the order (asked for no gravy and it was put on), which was quickly corrected with apologies and no questions. The meals were fall-off-your-seat delicious, service phenomenal and atmosphere warm and inviting. Definitely highly recommend.
Best biscuits ever! House made & so tender - makes for the best biscuits & gravy. Can't wait to go back.
So great to visit home and see the Colton Cafe open! Delicious food at a great price. And the service is wonderful.
This place was a treat. There's only one cave in town but it's worth the stop. The food was delicious. The place was really cute. The service was awesome.
So amazing! Food is delicious with generous portions, the inside of this cafe is adorable and such a vibe. The service is impeccable and genuine. Definitely stop by! Plus the meals are so affordable, I got a grilled cheese and Mac salad for $11. Double cheeseburger my friend got was $15 and it also came with a side
Well, after my last review I decided that one employee did not quantify an employers full view of running that business. But after ordering a few more times, the food was alright, but today picking up an order the owner was upset and spoke to me about the review, not in a manner that would be as "apologetic" of a bad experience but to berate me for not coming to her with my experience or issue instead of leaving valuable feedback. 100% poor restaurant owner here. Should have taken the feedback and done what I have done on numerous occasions during my tenure as a business manager and apologized about a specific experience and not taken it out on the customer who was still providing patronage. Very very poor experience, but now its the owner and not the employees. Too bad. Will not be spending any more money here. Which we spent quite a bit. Hope she learns. Good luck.
I was dining alone for my birthday, since I'd just moved to town and hadn't had time to make friends yet. I'd driven past the restaurant several times and it always seemed full of happy people so I decided to give it a try. The staff was cheerful and the burger and tots were exactly what I was craving. My grandmother called me and I kept it short cause I didn't want to be *that* person on the phone at a restaurant, but someone must have picked on the fact that it was my birthday, because the waitress returned my card and said that someone had paid my meal! I was so moved by this kind gesture and I'm tearing up just writing this review. Anyway, the people of Colton are generous and kind and their Historic Café has the kind of atmosphere that attracts those people.
Folk at Colton Cafe are always great.
I have special food requirements and they are accommodating. They cook my food separately in a skillet so as not to contaminate. I love that extra care.
It's a small but nevertheless wonderful place!
I highly recommend and have.
Thank you Nora! (The owner). And her staff.
The one thing that might restrict some folks is.
There are a few steps to go up to get into the front door. And it is a small restaurant, not wheel chair friendly. But everything else is wonderful.
First time there, good food excellent service, and friendly staff. We will be back for more.
