Best General Tso Chicken I've ever had! Hong Kong 97 is the only place I like to order Chinese food from. Good drinks too!

We eat here all the time. I usually get the BBQ pork, pork fried rice or BBQ pork lo main. My fiance loves their general tsoas chicken. The fried wantons are great and my favorite is their pot stickers. We usually get the food to go and the staff is always amazing and nice. I'm excited to try something new and highly recommended them to anyone who is looking for great Chinese food.

The food is alright seems kinda buffet style or like the food is prepared in advanced. I do enjoy the food here we don’t get Chinese often. The last couple times we have been here one item has been wrong and only option for replacement is ordering a second dish. Last time I wasn’t bothered to much by it tonight I was pretty disappointed.

It's ridiculous to pay $54 for 3 chicken entrees and only receive one large rice. My family spends $100 per trip, stop being cheapskates over white rice. I'm personally done with y'all, plenty of good food in pdx. Y'all have the best egg foo yong, but nothing else is impressive enough to justify the trip.

Taste/flavor is great! But it’s very disappointing to see extremely dry BBQ Pork served. And the General Tsao chicken and the Sweet & Sour Chicken were also dry as well… could barely bite into and couldn’t cut with a fork at all. They don’t provide knives either, unless you ask for one. Love this place but food quality has gone downhill.

This location is a million times better than the one on mcloughlin! The waitress even helped me bring the food to my car and helped my kiddos too. My only regret is i didnt leave her a bigger tip!

We did take-out but the food was wonderful and plentiful. The restaurant was nice and everyone seemed happy! Very thirsty after eating so they may have used MSG.

Been eating and ordering take out for years and never had a bad meal.
Varied menu, something for everyone.
And no, I don't work there.

Food was served semi warm. Half way through our meal it was completely cold. It has good flavor but its alittle unsafe to eat meat that its only warm and hasn't reach a safe temperature level. Unfortunately this was the last time we come here.

3 years, 20 take-out orders.never had an issue with anything. The potstickers are large, crab puffs are crispy. The wonton soup is a meal itself, and roomie says it's the best salt & pepper shrimp in the area.

Edit 4/2023: 4 years of ordering once a month from here. Last night, the food was REALLY bad. The orange chicken was dry and overcooked. Extremely tough meat. When I called them about it, the lady got really upset and started yelling in Chinese. I didn't understand. WHY was she the one that deserved to be upset? I was the one that paid $81 for 2 people.

This may have been my last visit.

Terrible customer service. Asked for sub of 1-2 spring rolls instead of crab puffs for appetizer plate and instead the lady goes well we can’t usually, I can this one time but I can only do fried wontons. Keep in mind same price as spring rolls. And overall springrolls are $1 less then crab puffs as well. Sat and tried to talk logic into lady at front. She didn’t understand. Will give my money this one time and time one time only.

Took my 91 year old mother out to dinner. She loves Chinese food and we were not disappointed. The place is really cute and clean. Big tables and spacious room. The food was excellent although we just got the combination plate Pork Chow Mein, rice and sweet-and-sour spare ribs. It came to us with fresh food, cooked well and appealing to the eye. Our waitress was exceptionally kind and came to our table several times. I will definitely be taking her back there again.

Steamed rice with 4large chunks of bbq pork does not make it bbq pork fried rice. When i pay over $10 for fried rice, i expect it to be FRIED.

Been going to HK97 for nearly 20 years. Not much more to say than that. Family keeps looking for other Chinese places closer to them that have comparable food but always falls short.

Looking online for your menu. Don't want to use trip advisor, just want to see all the combos!

I don’t know how this place manages to be SO GOOD. I’ve lived in the Clackamas area my whole life, so any Chinese place a local can recommend, I’ve likely tried. This spot is hands down my favorite & I’ll make the extra drive for it. The General Tso’s Chicken is the best I’ve ever had and my go-to dish. Potstickers are thick and doughy. The rice is always soft and flavorful. My family members also have their favorites - sweet & sour, crab rangoons, Kung Pao Shrimp…. There’s so many hits here you yet can’t miss.

First the food was decent to say. But the time frame me and my partner came it was ghost town, let alone the people looked like they were just done for the day. The waiter we had wasn't really helpful at all and hard to understand mostly. When asked to substitute an item for something else she said no we can't, or just this meat only sorry. Another thing that struck odd was a dish was ordered that had not mention something that my other half couldn't have at all. When we gotten our food he couldn't eat it at all. He asked them why didn't they list it on menu or tell us and the woman just gave us a blank confused look on it. She said it always had that and we should of told her right off the bat. So sadly he couldn't eat it.so we got to go boxes and paid in full. He told them kindly to let people know and the people looked unpahsed on it and gave a sure attitude. I don't know if we will go back. I get I was slow night, but at least try.

My favorite local Chinese food place! Better than the one up the street for sure! Everything is always exactly the same quality and quantity! Mar Far Chicken, Low Mein Noodles, fried shrimp, BBQ Pork, Egg Foo Young! Careful. Order enough and they'll give you a BOX
