For beginners, I recommend taking their classes as they are very useful and effective. I took level 2 today, and my level 1 class was 2 years ago, but the coaches are very well qualified and can't recommend enough to get Jimbo if you're taking level 2. Man has so many great pointers (just 3 very important skills to practice), but I could do turns by the end of my ski class while also practicing safety and proper navigating. I think overall, Hoodoo is great for beginners and intermediate skiers. Their variety of slopes are very great to try. Plus, they offer special ski like tempo uniski, i think that's a very awesome feature! It's slightly bigger than Willamette Pass from my friends' reviews. Ps they accommodate me, too, with giving me more comfortable ski boots for having bigger calfs than others. 5/5 on their group service and coaching classes. They also have microwave and toaster if you wanna bring your own lunch.

Hoodoo has the best terrain for beginners learning how to ski. Stepping up from s total beginner is tricky. Because the next lift up is a bit too advanced. But intermediate skiers have lots of options. Advanced skiers who can handle ungroomed snow can ski literally 360° in every direction from the top. There is wonderful day care for little kids. And for those who would rather not ski, there are several lanes for inner tubing.

Great place for the whole family. Unbelievable snow this year and staff take pride in making the experience as great as it can be.

Come here the most. It's not the biggest hill you've probably ever been to but perfect for a bluebird Thursday.

Perfect, non-intimidating ski area for all levels and types of winter play. Great first ski destination for little ones and families. Also fun for friend groups who want to get out and ski without a lot of hassle or crowds. Parking does fill quickly on bluebird condition weekends.

Great little mountain good atmosphere. I'm used to bigger mountains but this was a nice change taught my brother to ski here!

Former PSIA/AASI ski snowboard instructor here.and MAN. There is NO better hill to learn on in the State of Oregon. The bunny hill is the gentlest in the state, they've added a magic carpet tunnel, and the beginner lift is a perfect graduation from the bunny hill. But what makes Hoodoo even better is the staff. We were thoroughly blessed by everyone we interacted with, from cashiers, managers, rental staff, cooks, and lifties. A spirit of joy, kindness, and peace rests on that place, which is saying something in this modern time. Wonderful family friendly culture.

Love this place! The first time I went, they lit fireworks after night shredding. Dope place!

Lines were a little long for rentals, but it was a peak holiday weekend. The instructors are awesome people! We’ll be back.

We love coming here! Super family friendly and laid back. The private lesson costs are so affordable, and in general have some of the lowest prices in the area. We started doing lessons for our 3 year old and she loves skiing now. I highly recommend Adam and McKenzie for lessons.

Great place to learn to ski. Always friendly staff. Rental and lessons for kids is great, we reserved our lesson ahead of time and they had everything setup when we arrived. So nice to skip the lines, the wait, the paperwork. Thrifty Thursday deal is awesome.
