My professional was gentle, patient and knowledgeable. She made or put me at ease during the whole process.

Whitney Carlisle is the best. Has done our taxes for years. She is gracious, patience, and incredibly informative. My wife and I trust her implicitly with our taxes.

Very knowledeable associate, friendly staff. Very flexible and work without your physical presence.

This place is the MOST unprofessional "business" I have EVER encountered.
1. They RARELY answer the phone (even when you have the extension of the person you need to reach). You will nearly ALWAYS get voicemail.
2. IF they call you back, they are not informed to answer simple questions.
3. Based on #2, they use their lack of knowledge as a business tool to get you to come in and purchase their services.
4. When you get there you wait about 30 minutes.
5. The "tax professional" does not know how to answer the simple question you called about. Even the manager had to apologize and explain the need to "check on that detail".
6. They tried to hold my W-2 and other documents " hostage" in their drawer, in order to ensure my return to purchase services. All I needed was the answer to a simple question. I literally had to demand my documents back. She ARGUED with me about it. She tried to refuse giving it back and put my documents in an UNLOCKED drawer next to her desk.
7. After getting them to review my final documents (which they advertised as FREE) they again tried to charge me nearly $70.00 for simply e-filing my (personally completed) forms "for free". After clearing that up, and signing the forms for the free e file, they did NOT get my taxes filed in time. (I was there in Feb.).

I can only speak for the office on SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, near Hawaiian Time.

SAVE YOURSELF THE EXTREME FRUSTRATION AND AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

My visit was full of surprises. From the extremely strong smell of weed due to the next door dispensary, to the $300 bill that I received for the tax prep services. H&R preys on people with their big "$85 prep" fee signs, when actually it's going to be a minimum of $120 if you want them to file state as well. And if you make any 1099 income, there's another fee. By the time they nickel and dime you, you're better off doing them yourself. I know I will.

Sylvia helped us and found deductions or credits we didn't even know about or qualified for. We thought we would have to pay because we used turbo tax. 11/3/2022

I dropped off all of my required documents a week before deadline and paid a late filing fee as a precaution. This was done under a set appointment.
It's been six weeks, that office is now closed, I've called service three times and that has resulted in zero call backs or any information on the status of my taxes.

We have been going here for years and have always had a great experience with Diane. Unfortunately, Diane has retired and is no longer there, since her departure the service at this location has gone down hill.
When calling, no one answers the phone and when leaving a message, no one returns the call.
When we arrived for our appt, the first thing we noticed was the very strong smell of marijuana coming from the business next door, the smell hit you like a slap in the face! There was no one at the reception desk when we entered, we were left to sit there for 20 minutes before anyone came up and acknowledged us. Once we finally were helped, the person that helped us did do a good job and we were satisfied with her, Diane had recommended her to us the year before, this is the only positive thing we have to say about our entire experience!
We received coupons in the mail prior to our visit, but were unable to use any of them due to they were only available for new customers.
We were charged $100+ more than we were charged the year prior for the exact same service. We paid with credit card before we left.
The day after our appt, we received a coupon in the mail for $25 off for existing customers. We immediately called the office and asked for them to apply the coupon to our bill and credit our card the $25. They absolutely refused and even stated that they have had multiple calls requesting this and all were denied! Obviously, they do not want anyone to use the coupon, otherwise it would have been sent out earlier.
Needless to say, we will never return to this office again due to how rude, unorganized and unprofessional they are. The only reason I left a 1 star review is because I could not leave a no star review.

They lost my documents, forgot about me completely, they won’t answer their phones.
Lori is terrible at managing time and her thoughts.
They don’t keep their appoints on time.

I liked the overall service I got at the Beaverton H & R Block office contrasted to my experience last year with the Hillsboro location. Great customer service here at Beaverton from Fatima, the Office receptionist to Jenny, who did my taxes.

My tax Representative is a very professional hard working and honest individual whom i trust and enjoy her help with my tax exsperience each year.

I got out of work early, drove over there waited an extra 15 minutes after my appointment time. It turned out the person who was going to do my taxes wasn’t even there. They could’ve done was contacted me because they have my number and email. What a waste of time.

Horribly horrific, stressful, unhelpful and I did better preparing my own taxes I actually owed a significant amount less. My opinion is to get a second opinion.

I was very unhappy of how long it took for my tax to be filed. I brought them in early February 2021 and finally in July it was filled and processed.

David was excellent, but I had a very bad experience with someone else there. Poor communication and procrastination on her part.

Loretta my tax preparer was awesome! Friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and very easy to communicate and work with.

Because I needed someone with tax expertise and H&R Block was right there ready to help me.

Horrible customer service. I called and made a appointment and went in a couple days later for the appointment.they said they didn't have me in the computer.and they couldn't garenttee they will get my tax done in time of the deadline.the lady was very rude and said do ur taxes early next year. I will never go to h&r block again.

Archana Vijayakumar was an excellent tax agent. She was polite, efficient and very helpful.
I will return next year and ask for her. She made my experience painless.

You guys just make the most financially stressful time of the year for me so much less so. Everything is so easy to use. This is my 2nd year using them and they're a breath of relief!
