Ismael Moraes, a lawyer acting for the group, said they believe his death was connected to the campaign activists had been waging against Norsk Hydro because small communities near an industrial park in Barcarena, in the Brazilian Amazon state of Pará, had complained that the Norwegian-owned aluminium plant and other factories were contaminating their water, causing diarrhoea, vomiting as well as poisoning fish and their local produce.

The VP of media relations was highly dismissive despite Nascimento’s killing coming only weeks after government researchers said they found evidence of a contaminating leak from the refinery south-west of the state capital, Belém.

Sick of the harm the wealthy do across the world. They should be ashamed. Why aren't they? What has to happen for these people to understand how abhorrent they are? It's gross.
