I have a forklift that is having intermittent start issue so paid the $200.00 deposit and was expecting a knowledgeable mechanic.what i had for a service man was someone who had no knowledge of diagnostics.so he checked for fuel and it had fuel then he suggested to replace coil, module, and impulse coil and if that didn't work to replace the ecm rev box. So if you were to add up the parts would be 1500.00 and no guarantee that it would work.so very low review of service skills who has worked on forklifts for a lot of years. NO diagnostic skills just a parts replacer.

We showed up to look at and potentially buy a forklift and he turned us away and said they were appointment only.

Running a business with various machinery, the one thing i can count on is the used forklift i bought from these folks 5 years ago! I recently stopped by for some info regarding propane tanks and they were very helpful.

We have tried a few places over the 20 years we have been in Vancouver. Some were over priced, some didn't do a very good job of addressing the problem or tried to rent us a forklift for weeks while they waited for parts. We have been working with Independent for 3 or 4 years and are enjoying the relationship. They show up when needed and get the job done. The owner is good to work with and Rick is a good mechanic and likely their best asset!

Great service, great price. Had an issue with a piece of equipment and Joel was able to diagnose and repair quickly. Appreciate the time Joel took to listen to the issue and solve my equipment problem.

After service was completed company was way to pushy to collect payment same day. Very poor customer service.

We purchased a forklift from this company, We were told they would service and fix a few things. Had a service done soon after we bought it from a local company $600 later it needed a tune up, weird since it supposedly just had been serviced. We were promised a new seat that was not on the forklift as well. We also had tried to contact our sales guy just to ask a couple questions with no response.
At the end of the day the forklift is now not running and a big waste of money. If you deal with these guys make sure you check that they held up there end before you take delivery.

We have used Independent for years, for hauling and repairing our forklifts. These guys are reasonably priced and easy to work with. Would recommend!

"Do not buy from them". They told me everything runs good and they service everything before they sell, Bought a hyster from them and had it serviced the first week and was told that independent forklift did not service it and has blown head gasket. Scam artists
