India Sweets & Spices reviews
15It's not just a grocery store. Has the most authentic North Indian food in the area. The staff is so courteous. The mithai collection is the biggest in the area
I purchased 1 Kg Motichoor laddoo to gift my friend on 10/29/2022. The person on counter confirmed that sweets are fresh. I thought they might have made it on Diwali and trusted on his words.
Today (10/31/2022) my fiend told me that laddos are smelling and taste has been changed.
Shame on you IndianSweet&Spices for giving such sweets just after Diwali. You could have told me that laddos are not fresh and take some other sweets. It embarrassed me in front on my friend.
Great variety of hot and cold foods, just in time for Diwali. Also a good selection of produce and grocery items.
Nice indian store.generally you can get all the indian items. They also keep very nice gujarati snacks like fafada, papadi.it tastes really awesome.
I love India Sweets & Spices. The lunch special is perfect for anyone on break from work or who is just hungry. The Ras Malai, stuffed jamul, and other sweets are just *chefs kiss*. The owner has always been very kind and open to explain foods/sweets to me. Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Hard to rate a place that has undoubtedly best samosas in town, and maybe arguably on west coast; but sucks when it comes to maintenance.never go in for groceries, but not to be missed for samosas and chaat.
Sweets are good like gulab jamun, milk cake, Rasmalai and chamcham. Their samosas are also good. Otherwise store does not have lot of options for Indian items compared to other stores in town.
They have a decent selection although the owner/staff don't usually know if they do or don't carry something. The samosas are really good and well priced. This is a good store but I'm giving it a 3/5 because of the typical desi customer service. Let's sum it up this way, on any given day when you go to the store, the owner's or one of the staff member's massive brown Toyota Tundra truck is parked in the spot right in front of the store, the PRIME spot and it stays there all day. This staff member or owner has decided that it's more important for them to have the prime spot instead of walking 20 extra feet and inconvenience his customers because parking next to this monstrosity makes it hard to open your doors, so effectually, they've ruined 3 spots, why? Because that's the importance of customers for them, this is the typical "me first" attitude, in other words, typical desi phuddu customer service.
Best Indian food in Portland area. Much much better than any other restaurant around.chola bhatura and daal makhani are mouth watering. I wish other Indian restaurants can learn how to cook good Indian food from them. Always my go to place!
Well stocked grocery store and Indian food place. The samosas are something 6ou should def try. Could have a few more options on veggies though.
Awesome chole bhature!
There are some negatives as other bad reviews pointed out like not organized, doesn't look hygienic, etc. They are probably true to some extend.
But some of the stuff they make in the kitchen is awesome, so will return.
Good variety of Indian sweets. Also snacks are tasty.specially samosas. Give it a try. Small and convenient Indian groceries also available to shop.
Good places to get Indian groceries. They are fairly reasonably priced as compared to other Indian grocery stores. They also have a good variety of Dals and organic groceries. The staff is polite and addresses your concerns right away. The sweets also taste good.
They have great rasmalai in town. Small store generally not crowded compared to other Indian store. I visit here for samosas and sweets. Their chola poori is also best in town
I love this place so much. If I lived closer I would eat here every day. Best chole bature I've ever had.
