I've lived here for about 3 years now, and honestly its about what you expect from a "slum lord" apartment owner.

If you're late on rent, they won't tell you until they get to charge you a late fee. They randomly charge you extra on your bills, so there's no consistency when looking at your payment history (hint: none of it was the agreed upon amount in the lease). Not to mention the apartment itself has terrible plumbing, people's vehicles are broken into all the time, and they make promises they have no intention on keeping. I've been waiting 3 years for them to install the public dog bath they told us they'd install right after we moved in.

They've already been sued by a number of tenants for charging late fees when they federally weren't allowed to, so there's that to consider. I still sometimes get leaflets for that class-action lawsuit sometimes. We're counting down the days until we get out of here.

Since renting at the 75th avenue location (1year) our cars have been broken into 5 times and having an incident where 13 vehicles were broken into in 1 night. Since then the landlord has made no effort to assist or remedy this problem, as well as not reinforcing their bike lock storage which had also been broken into at least 3 times in the short but terrible year we were there. I do not recommend renting from any of their locations. We had put in a request for additional hot water pressure which was never responded to, the landlord only cares about making money. Their facilities are sub-par at best and are for a fee. They do not maintain any property beyond the bare minimum if that. When we requested our deposit back after vacating they intentionally sent it to the wrong address despite being provided the new forwarding address. Everyone involved at every level of this rental agency is absolutely negligent or downright malicious in nature. If these seem like things you want to experience as a tenant then by all means rent from the people who decided to raise rent by 100$ after immediately hearing about the 13 vehicle break in.

I rented from them for several years and, other than the usual minor stuff that comes with being a renter, had nothing but a positive experience.

Their in-house maintenance team was always quick to respond and everyone I dealt with in the office was friendly and professional.

I was not charged a ridiculous pet deposit or forced to pay high monthly pet rents. They are very pet friendly which was the main reason I chose them in the first place.

Both my move-in and move-out were painless and I received a full refund of my deposit way before the legal deadline.

If I ever again find myself in need of a rental in the Portland area they will be on the top of my list.

I have rented from "I rent PDX" for 6 years.they were always super fast with any maintenance issues and always were willing to help with any issues I had.the apartment I had was a little small but with Granite Countertops, wood floors, private washer and dryer and a dishwasher it was overall a very nice apartment in a great part of town. Jamie and Nicole always replied immediately if I had a issue or even the dog bag dispenser was out they came immediatly to fix it. The Maintenance man JR was super nice and went out of his way to help me, Especially during Covid when everything was harder, he spent the entire day trying to find me a new dishwasher when very store near by was out. I would defiantly rent from them again.

I just found out today I owe this company money, I was late 5 times on rent, and I still owe them! UMMMM F! No! This place started RENOVATIONS on a townhouse we were living in with out notice! We left broke the lease and at that time we were advised we could break the lease and move due to the house not being able to be lived in! And now I owe them 8 years LATER! Ummmm no! STAY AWAY FROM THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! IF YOUMOVE IN YOU WILL GET A AUTOMATIC ROACH AS YOUR PET!

I was a tenant at one of their properties from 2017-2019.
This company refused to maintain their property and take care of our insect problems, and forced us to move out with a fabricated claim we had broken our lease.
There is a class action lawsuit pending against this company from former tenants.
Don’t give this predatory company your money. There are many property rental companies in Portland that take better care of their tenants and provide better value for your money.

Currently the property management is not available via telephone, email, and USPS. Their address has changed. There is a lawsuit against the property.

Accepted for a rental, and 1 hour later told they rented it to someone else. Would never apply with them again as they have demonstrated they cannot be trusted.

We have been tenants for the past two years. We've never had an issue- management was extremely helpful and accommodating as we were moving across the country. We had, at the time, big dogs, bad credit, and no jobs. It was tough starting out but they worked with us, even setting up a payment plan for the months rent that we were struggling with. I did pay a large deposit, understandable, and I was surprised when I received 100% of it back after moving. They were considerate and always left little tokens, gift cards, bags of coffee, etc.

Renting from any company it will always be about the money for the company. The person renting can only expect prompt service, honest communication, and explicit disclosure of all manners pertaining to the money. Palisades did a great job all around except for the cleaning fees. Basically you will get a carpet cleaning fee that will be deducted from your deposit. I’m fine with that, I just wish that was disclosed on the front end.

We moved to Portland and rented an apartment sight unseen with Palisades Property Management. Not only was the application and move in process super simple but the property was exactly what was advertised. Their communication is great, they are easy to get ahold of and they provide an online portal that makes it super easy to pay rent and request maintenance. When we requested maintenance any items that we ever needed remedied were always promptly addressed! They have a great team and are worth considering when you are looking for a rental in Portland!
