3Whew! This is a very steep hike! Worth it! But I was huffin and puffin all the way up!
NOTE: This is a short (less than 1 mile) uphill hike that took us less than 30 minutes to summit. It’s strenuous but doable, especially with how quickly you’ll be done! If you want the full hike, start from the trailhead on the other side of the highway. You’ll also avoid a bumpy drive that way. There is a restroom at this trailhead with a small parking area, which was not full when we went.
We didn’t catch the wildflowers as much as expected for mid-July but the views and terrain were still spectacular.
What a view! All uphill but worth the journey. I rated hard because I am a milkshake and Pizza connoisseur, but not too bad if you've had good cardio conditioning.
