I've Been Framed- Custom Frame Shop, Portland OR

Tim was fantastic. I’ve always been nervous to get custom frames and usually just get cheap ones and cram it in, but wanted to get a piece of art framed. He was able to fix one that didn’t work for me, custom fit my piece, and then I grabbed one more because it was so reasonable. I’ll probably be bringing all my poorly framed pieces here now.

Few Portland icons have such a warm place in the hearts of artists! I ve been Framed is an exceptionally well informed framing and art supply store. They sell discounted frames and make custom pieces. Most of the workers are also working artists, which has been true for the life of this long time small local business. There are two locations but the one on SE ash is the hidden gem. They have created projects large and small for me. They are DIY friendly and full of helpful suggestions and considerations. The pricing is absolutely reasonable and it makes framing a whole show possible at a working artist price point. We are so lucky to have them around.

I've been having all of my framing done for the last 25 years, at both locations. There is only one location now, but still quality!

Came for art supplies but this location seems to just be a framing shop, nothing wrong with that but wish it was more clearly advertised online before I made the trip

There is no way anybody should give this business less than 5 stars. The people who work there are artisans and so helpful. The selection is just about anything you can dream up. The prices are very reasonable why would anyone shop anyplace else.

Had a great experience getting a piece of glass cut here, incredibly fast, affordable and really helpful friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Edit: Came back to pick up my mat order and the experience was much better. The mats were ready and the young man who helped me did a great job. Maybe Covid stress was to blame for my first experience. Thanks for the lovely mats! Great prices.

First time customer: It felt like they treat custom frame orders differently than DIY. I wish I could say I was happy with my experience. The gal at the custom desk snapped at me when she realized I was not who she was expecting. That and the fact that my mats still needed to be cut… well. It could have been better, but the mats were beautiful and affordable. I’ll hope for a better experience next time.

Went back to clarify an order and the employee that helped or didn’t help was incredibly rude and had an attitude. Afterwards - I just asked for refund.the owner was nice but his one employee left a bad impression.
