I am surprised to see all the good reviews.

This is worst company I have dealt with in sometime. They initially started with a quote of $X for cutting a tree and when we were so close to signing the contract, they gave us a shocker saying there is a 3 months waiting time. As we already took about 2 weeks closing the quote, we chose to do it on a earlier date for an increased rate by $500. And then when we were about to sign the contract for the work, they further increased the price by another $500. And they had no courtesy to accept there mistakes here and very arrogant dealing with customers. Beware dealing with this company.

Surprisingly after all this, I received a call from their management just to shout at me and refused to even listen what I had to say.

Update: For some reason I could not reply to this. If you are truly interested, I can attach the call logs and messages to prove what I have said is true. The estimator from your company had sent me the quote 3 times in the last 2 days, and I had confirmed the price today morning also. Based on that I had planned my other work, like roof cleaning etc to adjusted to your timelines. In the last minute it was not right for the company to increase the estimates by $500. Depsite all this, I tried to maintain my calm, and I was never rude to your employees and if some reason your employee felt so, I apologize, that was never the intent. The issue I had is you were never willing to accept that you had given me a wrong quote, and that was all I was trying to point at. I am posting the review primarily because of the last call I received from your president who shouted at me and never wanted to hear me out.

Timeline of events:
August 5,2020,9am: J&F estimator sends me a quote for $X and I accept that quote over the phone. I made arrangements for my other work (roof cleaning, fence repair etc), get permissions with neighbors etc to be ready for the job
August 5,2020 (evening I think) : One of the person from J &F office calls me and tells me work can be done only on October. I said that doesnt work for me and requested to see if there is some way we can pull that in. The person asks me to check with the estimator. I called the estimator and see how the dates can be pulled in
August 6,2020 (10am) : J&F estimator calls me and tells me it can be done for X+$500 on August 14th. I get this quote three times in separate times as SMS from your estimator.
August 7,2020 (9.48 am) : J&F estimator asks me if I am good with $X+$500.
August 7,2020 (9.50 am) : I accepted $X+$500 quote over the SMS and tells my neighbors to be ready for the job on August 14,2020 and get other things also lined up correctly.
August 7,2020 (3pm) : I get a call from J&F office saying that the quote has changed to $X+$1000.

Is this right? I dont intend to take your service going forward, but I am just pointing this out, to make sure the company management dont get impulsive in future and shout at customers when they point out some areas of improvement.

Extremely competitive prices. Could communicate better when they are on their way, but I would rather save a boat load of money and not get that call. We had an extremely dangerous/difficult tree and they had it out in under two hours. I was shocked at how efficient they were.

Had a large stump ground down by this company. The estimate, removal and billing went very quickly and smoothly. They had good communication through email, phone, and text.

I would use them again and recommend to a friend.

I noticed some branches falling in my yard after a recent wind storm. I asked a friend of mine for a recommendation and he suggested contacting J & F Tree Service.

They came out for an estimate and gave me some good ideas about how to handle the issue. When it came time to do the work, the team came out and got right to it. They made quick work of the job and left after cleaning up.

It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their trees.

Nate and his team did an absolutely phenomenal job. We had 85ft row of dying arborvitae that we need gone asap and they scheduled us in within two weeks of us calling. Once they showed up to the house they were in and out within just a few while still providing a quality service. I appreciate their hard work, reasonable prices, and the customer service Amanda provided as she was a delight to talk to whenever I called or emailed. The picture doesn't do it justice, but my yard looks so much better without the eyesore of dying trees and now we can get it back to being a healthy yard. You won't regret hiring them!

I seriously have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. The lady on the phone was nice is the only positive I can say. The guy we had out for an estimate was very condescending and rude. Did not seem interested in doing the work, wanted us to remove our horse fencing (we’ve had trees removed before from this area just fine and the company had no need to do this) and did not offer much advice or suggestions. Finally came back with an “estimate” that was difficult to read and understand and was for an absurd hourly rate without an estimation of hours. Also told me to get permits from a city I do not live in, even after I explained we are outside city limits. Caught him on our outdoor camera making rude gestures and muttering curse words about us as he walked back and forth from his truck! I’ve worked with a lot of contractors and he takes the cake for unprofessionalism!

Had an overall great experience with J & F. The quote was very reasonable to trim two trees in my backyard (half of what a different company quoted). The arborist that did the assessment seemed knowledgeable and honest. They were able to schedule work only 2 days after the initial assessment and did a great job. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

They removed a tree for us today.they were extremely skilled and professional. We highly recommend them!

Excellent response time with a fair quote. They tested some new equipment which will only improve the service in the future as the gain some experience with it. Highly recommend.

Lots going on at our household in preparation for a remodel for our mother with Alzheimer’s. J&F Tree Service went beyond the call of duty and came out right away once we figured out that yet another tree needed to be removed. Their work was over and done in just a few hours.

I would without hesitation recommend anyone J&F Tree Service Inc and their crew for any tree removal large or small. Professional, personal, quick, clean and efficient. This is the 3rd time we have used their service and I will call them out if we ever need a fourth! Outstanding job!

Called them 1 day after noticing damage to a big leaf maple one day after a windstorm that came through. The tree was very close to our house and had a bi-furcated trunk that split at the base with one section leaning toward the neighbor's deck and needed to come down. I called other arborists including one I had used before, but they were all too busy to come out that week to evaluate and give an estimate. J&H came out that day to look at the job but needed a second look at the job by one of their climbers to assess the situation. By Friday I had their quote (which was very reasonable) and they scheduled to do the job 10 days out. Knowing the possibility of the tree coming down, they stated that they would come out early if they had an opening in their schedule. They called on the following Tuesday (6 days earlier than the promised date) and came out to take down the tree. Dan and the office staff were very professional and nice to work with.

Called to request a quote for a tree removal at 830, had a quote by 1030. When I got home at 830 that evening the tree was gone, cleanup was spotless and the price was way better than I could have ever imagined. Highly recommend J&F Tree Service.

Had a job in my house for pruning down branches on 4 trees on my backyard as well as front yard. From the time I had called on the phone, till Dan came to my house, i was extremely pleased with the courteous and proffesional response form J&F. I got a good laydown on what the price will be and what will be included in the quote. This was the best price i had gotten after contacting about 9-10 other companies. Overall i would say i got the best service at the best price and the work is excellent as well. Dan is a seasoned pro and he knew exactly what the problem statement was and even provided details regarding the available options at hand. I would work with them again for sure.

We had originally hired another tree service and they called us the morning of at the last minute and told us they couldn't come out. We
were very unhappy as we scheduled way ahead of time to come during our vacation. We then had to scramble and called a couple tree services and explained our situation and they all were booked out at least a month. We then found J & F Tree Service and they sent out someone immediately. His name was Dan and he was very friendly and accommodating. He did his absolute best to work us in during his workers busy schedule. We were totally amazed that they went out of their way to fit us in the same day we called fir help! The team was very quick and professional and finished topping 2 trees and cleaned everything with all professional equipment, all within an hour. We will highly recommend Dan and his crew at J & F Tree Service to anyone who asks us for an excellent tree service!

I had J&F remove about a dozen hedges in front of our house. They provided great communication, super fast service and professional quality. Highly recommended.

Awesome honest company, they were able to trim the trees that I needed the same/ next day after getting a quote. Good communication, on time, They did a great job with the trees and cleaning up afterward, also they were very nice. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. Prices, people and quality - five stars.

We are very pleased with the service we received from J&F Tree and would highly recommend them! After speaking to their office to request an estimate (really nice woman, wish I could remember her name to post here), Dan called back very quickly and came out to provide the estimate (he was great too!). Later that day the crew came out and got the job done perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the result of the trimming of the trees over our roof and cutting back another that had some dead branches. They left the area clean and the price was reasonable. It was an easy process with exceptional service and made my day to get this done so quickly. Thanks Dan and the J&F team!

From the office to the field, their employees are all fantastic to deal with! We’ve used them twice at our home, and will continue to use them in the future.
