The seasoning is spectacular! Delicious! The dishes are very well served and the service is excellent. I'm on vacation in Portland and I want to come here every day for breakfast. I highly recommend it! Mandatory stop if you want to eat delicious!

I had the chilaquiles added chorizo and a side waffle, it was delicious! My husband had the steak breakfast and my daughter had French toast and they really enjoyed their meals. The chef is excellent I was thoroughly impressed with the food. The service was awesome as well. We were only passing through from California but had we been visiting longer I would have liked to have ate from the lunch menu as well.

This place is great! Really well executed, even elegant, breakfast staples. Our table had a beautiful classic Benedict, a Monte Cristo, and the Pumpkin Pancakes special. I am in need of more of that sausage STAT. But I wanted to eat my husband's Monte pretty bad too.
Service was fast and friendly, prices were fair, and no line on a Saturday! Will definitely be back. Would love a coat hook in the bathroom and a lock that indicates "occupied" on the outside.
Sorry photos are after first bites. Nobody could stop themselves.

Great food, atmosphere and service! I would give it more stars if I could. It’s really nice to see the owner and chef come out to greet everyone!

A small little restaurant with good food.
The males working here are very friendly and helpful while the ladies all seem upset and ready to snap at you and are not willing to answer questions.
Other than the ladies, this is a nice restaurant that is just getting started and hopefully they can survive.

I had a cheeseburger, fries and coke.
Food was good, but not great. I'll be trying other dishes that look great!
Service was very good. Very friendly!
I liked the atmosphere/ cozy little spot.
Parking was off street.
Weekend very busy, work week, easier to get a seat.

It's sad to see one of my go-to pho places close down. This place recently took over and has breakfast and lunch pretty much all day. I chose to try the Toluquena Burger, which was a good-sized burger that had egg, ham, and guacamole in it. It came with a side of papas calientes (seasoned fries) thar were really good. The entire meal was good, and they had other items that I need to try next time when I visit.

So glad to discover Javi’s. Quick, friendly and professional service. I had the chicken fried steak and gravy breakfast …. Outstanding. Also the restroom was very clean and fresh. People can go to Javi’s with confidence.

All the stars are for the kind service- very sweet people. Food looks beautiful, but fails at first bite. It is upscale Portland breakfast expensive, and is so sadly bland. Like really really bland. I had the Mt. Hood Benedict and my partner had the Chorizo scramble. Tasteless. Salt couldn’t fix it. The potatoes and hash browns were limp and mushy. Not a bit of good texture for the whole meal. My eggs were overdone. I wanted to like this place so much! But frankly you’d be better off with dive bar diner breakfast, or cereal at home. I wish Javi’s all the best and hope that they improve over time.

I’ve been to Javis twice now and both times the staff (particularly server Gabriel) have been incredibly kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the rib-eye Benedict the first time and the chilaquiles the second, each completely blew my socks off. I’ve had authentic chilaquiles in Mexico and although this is a primarily American cuisine diner, they really outdid my expectations. The pickled red onions & queso fresco are a vibrant addition. Gabriel also suggested I try his personally crafted Cinnamon Whiskey Cider & it is absolutely perfect for fall. Very smooth yet crisp, clearly expertly made. I can tell the staff care a lot about the business and the quality of hospitality, it shows in their customer service, food quality & overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
