Fantastic staff, fantastic selection, fantastic service, fantastic prices.

Bought myself a used lynx 12 at a steal of a price, the staff there listed out all the maintenance it needed (not much at all) making it extremely easy for a first timer like myself to get it up and running proper.

They were incredibly informative about everything they carried and didn't push for a sale at all, simply answered questions and let me do my thing.

Super excited to go back and properly fill my arsenal with them.

Well, very good customer service and human quality of these brothers, I recommend all Hispanics to go, I say this because in other gun stores they do not provide you with the background check in Spanish, thanks for be polite

J&B is the best gun store in the Portland area. Period. My only regret is that I did not discover them sooner. I live on the East side of the river, so I used to be a regular at a gun store over here because it was convenient. Now I do and will always make the extra drive to J&B. I've also recommended J&B to family and friends even with the additional drive time, especially to my friends looking to buy their first gun.

The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable, and you can truly sense that they love firearms and helping the firearms community. James (I assume the owner but I suppose I didn't ask) is always responsive by email and has helped me obtain odd items that I'm looking for. My favorite part is that, unlike many gun stores including the one I used to go to, there are no high pressure sales tactics! I am definitely not an expert and I appreciate J&B's staff being able to knowledgeably answer my questions, but I not a new firearms enthusiast, and I appreciate a place where I am not upsold or steered away from items that I have thoroughly researched and decided upon beforehand. The people at J&B understand that enthusiasts want specific things, even if they are odd requests, and are not trying to sell alternatives to you on the spot.

Overall, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're an experienced enthusiast or competition shooter looking for specific items, or you're brand new and want a calm and friendly environment to make your first entry into the gun community, J&B is the place to go.

10/10. It was my first time purchasing a gun and the staff was super patient with me, answered all of my questions, and made recommendations.

I highly recommend making your next firearm purchase here!

I like this place and it’s been my go-to store since I moved in the area. They have a good selection for a small store, and if they don’t have it they’ll get it. They also have a silencer shop kiosk which is awesome. The guys know their stuff, are happy to help you out and don’t mind just doing FFL stuff for online orders.

If I could give them a zero stars then I would. I purchased a 12 gauge, took it home and did a quick field strip to make sure that it was clean which it was not and I cleaned it up but while disassembling it the ejector and some other parts fell out of the gun. I just went back in 2 hours or three after I had bought in it and left the store to ask them to help me and they just said sorry there's nobody here that's certified gunsmith that can help you. Maybe you should be a little bit more professional just saying

TL DR: Great gun shop and awesome group of people who work there. Very knowledgeable, eager to help and educate you on anything you might need to know. Have bought several fire arms from them now and will continue to give them my business.

Long review:
First experience with J&B was calling in for information about an AR build. They were great and spent around 20 minutes on the phone giving me some advice and just being nice. Fast forward to November when Measure 114 passed, I went in and they were able to get me setup with a Stag 15 Tactical. We went through their limited options (at the time there was very little inventory anywhere) and based on their advice it seemed like a great option for a first rifle. Very happy with it and even picked up an Aero Precision M4E1 lower when I picked up my Glock 48 about a week later.

I went in last month because my brother was looking to pick up a bolt action rifle. The model he originally wanted was not available, but they were able to go through all the options that could be brought in and got him into a nice Remington 700 SPS Varmint chambered in 223 (so we could share ammo and keep costs down at the range). While I was there I inquired again about possibly being able to get ahold of a Sig P226 SAO. Originally when I asked them they didn't think they could get one. James did some digging and managed to find one left in stock at a distributor. I decided to go for it and it came in about 10 days later.

Every time I've been in I've had a good experience with them answering questions, helping me find what I need. I have even picked up a few accessories while I was in there. While some stuff is cheaper online, no shipping costs makes up for it most of the time and being able to put hands on things is always a plus.

Hopefully this long winded review helps someone decide if this is a good place to shop.
