Jersey Mike's Subs, Portland OR

Using food handling gloves for everything, cleaning, taking money, and making sandwiches. Terrible food safety practices. NO meat, chicken, on sandwich of bread and ranch, yuk!
Please turn on the heat in business, everyone was freezing, wearing jackets and hoods. Overall, bad experience.

Well, this was my favorite location but some of the practices I just saw are very scary for food safety:

Bread touching the counter then being put back onto the rack.

Lettuce and Tomato touching the dirty counter then being thrown back into the “fresh” container…

Gloves being used for multiple sandwiches with cross contamination.

This is truly disappointing. I’ll be posting a pic of the employee that did it. Hopefully y’all retrain him on food safety.

I stood waiting to order and was not acknowledged. Even as I asked what store this was as I was walking out they gave me the store address. I love the subs there but there is no excuse to at least say hi. They looked busy with an online order but poor service is poor service.

Not friendly customer service. A long waiting line. Use the same plastic gloves for cleaning and food. Food quality is not that good - cold/dry bread. It was between 12 ~ 1 pm 9/10/2023.

Upper management at this location does not know how to manage proper customer complaints, especially when a customer finds two hairs on the sandwich where his employees split the sandwich I tried showing the manager the hairs however, he took the sandwich to the back and said he didn’t see anything he asked if I wanted to sell just said no. I said I just wanted my refund. This is where he told me he couldn’t do it right now he was too busy. I have been eating at Jersey Mike’s for many years up and down the West Coast but the way that manager handled the situation was unprofessional. Upper management is totally lacking at this location.

Great sub sandwiches! I use them for catering party's often. Nice size portions for party boxes. The take out orders are rarely ready when they say they will be though, so schedule to pick it up a half order before you need to. In their defense I do order large quantities.

It was great, kid was good but was kinda off otherwise would of got 5 stars, the guy seemed stoned when taking our order

Jersey Mike's has become my new favorite sub shop. The food is always fresh and tasty. Service is good, and the stores are usually clean and inviting. This visit was no different. It was a good experience.

First time visiting, very good subs lot more flavour than the other chain, better quality. Very busy during lunch. Reasonably priced. Hard to find parking.

Great place even when there is a line it goes quickly. I think they are one of the sandwich places that are above the rest. Highly recommend it.

These guys rock! The young staff was so friendly, kind, and patient with fellow employees and customers.

Facility is clean and organized well but music is way too loud. When I ordered I can’t hear anything from sandwich man said something to me. But they are nice and kind. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Lettuce and tomatoes are fresh. No Public restrooms. We ordered Turkey and pravlon cheese and Ham and pravlon cheese sandwiches. They are pretty good.

Ordered ahead. Wasn't ready when I got there after the specified pick up time. The employee wasn't especially trying to get the order done. Gave me the wrong order even when I asked whether it was the right order.

The service was great! But the place was not very clean, the restrooms locked. I had the Buffalo sub was ok, but will not be ordering it again.

This location is an anomaly for Jersey Mike's. Being so close, I've tried and left disappointed and gave them a second shot and left disappointed again. They are so busy making corporate account orders, they do not have time for regular people. They won't even acknowledge people standing waiting to order. You can believe that ordering from the app will help, but they won't even start your order until you arrive. The place also doesn't get cleaned well. 10 AM after they've just opened and the floors (especially behind the counter) don't look like they ever get swept. So save yourself a headache and head to any other location except this one.

This is the first time I've ever had this food. It is really good. Fresh cut meat and cheese and perfect toppings!

The best sandwiches anywhere. That's because they're made to order. You want a quick sandwich? Go to subway and enjoy whatever the hell they can meat. Otherwise, shut up and don't rush the sandwich masters.
