John Neal Memorial Park reviews
12Great campground for all ages. Everyone is always friendly. Bathrooms are clean. Playground is great for kids.
Stayed in the spots next to the river. It was great to hear the rapids all day and it provided ample white noise to drown out most of the sounds of other camps and the highway.
Great place. Bring kayak for you n kids. Propane grill only.
Big playground for kids.
Clean Camp grounds. Everyone was friendly and respectful. Bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper and were clean!
Very nice clean well maintained county campground.and the showers were nice and hot.can't wait to stay here again
Very relaxing stay. Nice to be close to the river just wish there was more river access. Bathrooms were very clean but full of mosquitos. I got but more going to the bathroom than being outside. Campsites were decent size as well.
Great place to go for a day trip or camping with your family. Good place to go if you have kids. Has a playground access to the river as well as bathrooms and showers. Just a short drive or walk to the town which is also nice! A easy nature trail that wraps around a pond that will also take you into town depending on which route you take! Turtles and birds were a highlight or the trail. Bring your own wood!
Its a decent camp ground but can be improved. I feel like some of the sites were ruined with gravel makes it hard to stake a tent down or stake anything down for that matter. There was what looked like blood drops in the only open shower along with red hand prints above the shower head on the wall, kinda strange. Showers and bathrooms could have been cleaner and also stocked with TP and hand towels. Seemed like there was alot of people that show up just to use showers that arent actually camped there. Not sure wth it was but got woken up at like 1 am by what sounded like someone throwing huge boulders into the pond which was odd. Also be carefull of holes in the ground that will swallow your leg (camp site #12) most likely a nutrea hole.
Went here for a work BBQ. Spouse's work rented out the entire park for the weekend. The entire place was absolutely beautiful.
Very clean and the camp host is always around making sure everything is clean. Would recommend for a group or family trip anytime
Camped in June 2022, great place, overbearing host. We had 5 rvs, no one else in the park. We were borderline harrased by the camp host the entire time. Would stand off and stare at us for hours. Told us to turn off the generator at 3pm (per camp regs) then ran a pressure washer for two hours. Made us feel unwanted. Was constantly patroling our campsite and threatened to make us leave. Will never go again.
My bestie comes here all the time, she lives close. It was a beautiful day to walk around the ponds, we made two laps around.
