24The electricians called in advance to confirm time, performed work in timely fashion, went the extra mile to ensure all circuits worked properly and were very clean and organized. Would recommend to anyone needing electrical work done.
Terrible experience. We had to have our water heater and flooring replaced due to a leak. Judson's was suggested to us due to ease of availability for followup of warranty or parts.
The plumber was very rude and dismissive of our questions, and copped an attitude about needing to remove an enclosure from around the water heater before he could get to it. He loudly cursed and complained about how this wasn't the simple job he had expected. He demanded to speak with the flooring company over the phone, and was very rude with them as well. There were retention straps around the water heater that the plumber tore out without regard to wall damage.
We had to wait an extra week and a half for hot water because there was no one available after our new floor was put in, although we were assured that a simple phone call would have someone out there the following day.
The SAME plumber did eventually come back out. He drilled a new hole in our brand new flooring for a new pipe without running it by us first, told us we could just "buy a flange" to cover the gap around the pipe (the hole was very uneven). He refused to reassemble the enclosure that he had taken apart previously. We ended up needing to call the flooring company to come back out to reassemble the enclosure and caulk around the hole in the floor and install the flange. They did all of this with courtesy and professionalism, and even provided extra wood supports at no extra charge.
We spoke to a supervisor afterward who was very apologetic, and sent him pictures of the damage to our home. He said that this was not a plumber that normally worked on water heaters and that it was "unlikely" we would get the same one again. He also said there would be "feedback" provided to the plumber.
Now we have aggressive messages on our phone about needing to pay for the privilege of having our home damaged and having to deal with possibly the worst customer service either of us has ever experienced.
The ONLY reason that there is even a single star is that the pricing was good compared to other companies. Had we known what we were going to experience, we would have gladly paid more to go with someone else.
We will be sending them $5 per month.
I've used Jusdon's a few times for our one rental house in Salem. Their service has always been great and I'd definitely recommend them!
The technician was rude both visits, split the wood paneling on the wall, and damaged our new flooring installing the new water heater.
Service was fine, did what he was supposed to do, no problems. Billing is very sketchy and disorganized. They overcharged me and it took over 3 months of back and forth phone calls, misplaced paperwork and several conversations of “I have no recollection of talking to you about this. ” to get it corrected. They wouldn’t send me a bill to confirm the changes so I’m just hoping that by the time by money gets to them they don’t lose the paperwork again and tell me I haven’t paid enough. Would not use Judson’s again.
I called just to get a free estimate as their website advertises. The gentleman who answered was generally interested in my situation and took quite a bit of information and said he would call me back, I assumed to make an appt. He called back and was acting very apologetic offering me various solutions and I could tell something was wrong. I told him it sounded to me like they were not interested in doing any work for me. He replied that he talked to the owner and the answer was no. I could tell this man did not like having to give me this information. I should have asked why but I have run into this type of business before. Great employee they have, but the business?
Zac came to our house this past Saturday and his work was STELLAR! He left his personal phone number for us in case any problems occurred after his repairs. He even repaired two other minor plumbing issues in our home for which we are grateful. From the moment I called Judson's I received EXCELLENT customer service. Your company is the ABSOLUTE BEST plumbing company in Salem. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would give Judson's 10 stars.
Meh. These guys gave me an astronomical quote (>$4000) to plumb a utility sink into my garage, I think because the work was too complicated or small for them to prioritize given the current shortage of plumber availability in the area. It's been SO difficult finding someone for this job. I did hire Judson's for a small hourly rate job to move the washer hookup a few feet. The technician's communication was poor and he took his time. I still don't have the bill two weeks later. The final product was pretty heinous looking too compared to a nice white cover that they started with (and hacked up to remove). I think this group may be 'too big to fail', or at least too big to help the little people with reasonable rates and service.
Judson has been good to me. I had an AC installed in 2017. Great job and price. Also had their pro plumber Gordon fixed my toilet, shower valves and installed a water heater. Gordon knows everything about plumbing. Robin sold me the AC. He is very knowledgeable. I've read some of the negative reviews. Don't believe them. I found that two of their employees I knew in grade school at Morningside in the 60s) Kelly and Wayne. The work was all excellent.
Absolutely the worst place you could go. When I went in to talk to someone about new piping I felt that they did not care about my issue. They acted like they did not want my business. I will be considering filing a Better Business Bureau complaint. And maybe contact the Attorney General.
Judson's was able to fit me in the same day that I called and the plumber was awesome. Justin was very friendly, informative and worked quickly in a professional manner. Will call them again the next time I need a plumber.
I wish you guys had a page for Corvallis. My father hired you guys to do a job for rerouting some pipes in the laundry room and upstairs bathroom. The plumber found a different way to do things than what was originally thought of, and in the end saved him a lot of backbreaking work, time, and money. The plumber who came was Craig. Thank you all very much!
Called to get a quote for roughing in two bathrooms. The receptionist told me to call back in two months, and they might, be able to make an appointment then. I got the impression she couldn't be bothered dealing with me as she couldn't understand my accent. I from New Zealand?
update one week later. I friend called to have similar job done. They gave a quote the same week and stared the job week later
The only people we use for all of our plumbing and electrical needs. We own a historic home where these issues often need to be addressed with finesse and creativity. Judson's people approach all of the projects in this manner.

I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. The work was completed fine. They charged me twice as much as I had been told, I unhappily mailed them a check. Six months later I call for a new service and they just realize that they never got my check (ie: they lost it). They then call me a liar on the phone and question whether I even sent the check. DO NOT HIRE. The high price is frustrating but the complete disrespect and poor book keeping is unacceptable.
Been doing business with Judson's for over 20 years. These guys do excellent work. It's run old school by today's standards. That may or may not appeal to you. This time around, I have made four phone calls attempting to get some work done. Still can't get a date for electric work. Spouse gave me a competitor's phone number. It took two minutes to get a repair appointment. It was a month out, but I got it. There's plenty of work out there for all the contractors right now. When Judson's loses enough business they will have to change their model. Until then, just shop around.
Great and reliable company. When we had a leak, they were able to it quickly. Professional staff with reasonable rates.
I have used Judson Plumbing since 1979 for all my plumbing, furnace and appliance work (which they no longer do). Although I expect a lot out of vendors, I have never been anything but thrilled with their work in maintenance or emergency. Our home builder was not the best, and twice Judson has pointed out important problems that I didn't know about and prevented major problems.
Once I had a dishwasher problem. It turned out that the fix was good, but did not address the cause of the particular problem I called them for. The second visit was totally free of charge.
Another time I had picked out a new toilet. When I explained my reasoning, the saleswoman pointed out that their cheapest model would also give me the same benefit. Who does that anymore?
